Great hunt and well written report! I hunted with Jabu Kirkland in Massiland last summer and really enjoyed it, and would like to try the Selous, too.

I like the 6.5 and 375 combo. I did that (6.5PRC and 375 Ruger) for my Massiland hunt last summer and it was great. The 6.5 for the gazelles, hartebeest etc. and the 375 for everything else. I like the 300 and 375 combo too - I'd take the one I shot best.

I'm curious how attendance was looking at SCI this year. I saw a few pictures of the show floor and it looked light, but they may have been taken early or late. Is the city/state causing trouble with strict covid protocols?

Check out wild west guns co-pilot in .457 wwg. It is basically a very hot 45-70, but also gets a much better trigger, carbon fiber stock and better sights. I don't know that it would be my go to elephant gun, but is a powerful little package.
