Nothing against the 300 PRC. But on big game to 600 yards it doesn’t do anything a 300 Weatherby hasn’t done for a long time now. For elk and moose to 600 yards l would go with the .340 Weatherby. Awesome cartridge
Looks A Lot like the one l had. It had double set trigger. Great if you use the set trigger. Terrible without it. Never could get it adjusted any better. Shot great though, very accurate
I have used several in mine. 117 Sierra, 117 Hornady, 115 Berger. I settled on the 100 TTSX and 120 Northfork for big game. Got sub-moa accuracy with all. The Berger was used for target shooting out too 1000 yards
My latest up and comer. GSP, Paige, is just turning 2 next week. To her credit, Sharptail, Pheasants, Bobwhite, and Scale quail. She managed the SE Colorado trifecta, pheasant, bobwhite and scale quail her puppy year
I won’t be getting one. My 6.5-284 just does it better. I did however get a 6mm creedmore in a Ruger precision rifle. Really like it, doesn’t come with the bun either
I think in these times of shortages they have the same bullet, but may be forced to use a different powder, or primer. Just to get ammo on the shelf at all.
Been a while back, in the 80’s. I had a 7mm express (280). Reloading for it and a friends 7 Remington. 154 grain Hornady interlock. Bullet worked good in both, Pronghorn to Elk
Always been a 25 caliber fan. Started years ago with a 250-3000 in a savage 99. Than 25-06 custom, than a .257 Weatherby. The .257 is by far my cartridge of choice.
The latest thing with the heavy for caliber bullets. IMO the average shooter will never realize the advantage of the higher BC will...
I would take right now without hesitation. Retired, moved to an area of the country l really enjoy everyday. Have meet a wonderful lady, that l connect with like no one else in my life.
Kids are through college with good jobs. Life is great!
After having a pretty bad fall while scouting for elk on August 31, no broken bones, l have been healing up. X-rays, scans. Multiple chiropractic visits. One short dove hunt one morning. I really haven’t been able to do a lot.
The Antelope season opened on the 21st with a few hunters around on...
Ruger precision rifle, 6mm creedmore. Purchased to start shooting PRS matches. Starting shooting PD’s with it while the 204 barrel was cooling down. Last winter tried it calling coyotes and really liked it. Accurate to 1200 yards, reliable, and has taken everything l sent it after so far...
Sounds like two different problems.
1. bad primer with the misfire
2. loose primer pocket the other. Could be the brass or. You may try different brand of primer. Not all primers are the same size, federal seems to be a little large, in fact some people have reported them hard to seat. In my...
