I have wood stocked CZs for my Africa / fair weather hunts and a CZ 550 gunkoted and synthetic stock for bad weather. I would think the 458 Lott would generally be a fair weather gun. I would pick one up with a wood stock and rework the finish. Some have pretty good wood underneath.

Yes mine has a notch also but it does not had the slot for stripper clips.

My 2017 Highland Stalker does not have a cut out for stripper clips.

My only recent experience in the area was focused on the lake chad region. There was no observed hunting in the area I knew of.
