Thank you, sir. We ended up buying tags to hunt private land. Draw rates for New Mexico for non-residents are dang near impossible. Better off buying lottery tickets!

How has Everyone’s Hunting Season at Home been?

Thanks JB. It has been a great weekend. My first Pronghorn hunt. I’ve lost track of the stalks we have made. My buddy got his tonight with about 30 minutes of light left with a great 220 yard shot.

First Timer African Safari Common Mistakes To Avoid

One thing that I have learned/regretted with very limited experience is about set animal wish lists. I had always wanted a Kudu and Gemsbok, so on my first trip -to Limpopo- I was focused on those two animals. I didn't realize seeing all those animals I never had on my list would change my...

Which is the best game meat?

I have only been to Africa twice, but I have yet to have a bad meal. I know it has a lot to do with the preparation but I have enjoyed it all. My favorite has been Kudu and Zebra, but Gemsbok and Springbok were both outstanding as well. I have yet to try Eland and can't wait for my Namibia trip...

Great outfit. My wife and I had encounters with White Rhinos every day and saw a pair of Black Rhinos one morning on our hunt with Wintershoek. It was a highlight of our hunt being around those amazing animals.

I love my Kimber 300WSM. Good trigger, carries and handles nice, and very accurate. I had heard of feeding issued with the steep shoulder on the WSM but have not experienced it all with my rifle.

HAHA. Mani, having shared a couple of drinks with you now, I can just imagine you getting wound up at on these type parties. Next year in Dallas, we'll have to go find a good liberal bar after the AH dinner and go to work! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

    Judging Kudu

I would have guessed with @IvW, he looks to have about the same curl and length as my Limpopo bull that went 51.5 and 52.5. pictured in my name tag. But I find pictures to be very hard to determine accurately. One picture of my Gemsbok bull, you would swear one horn is 6 inches longer than the...
