Pm me and I’ll send some Bullets to you
Nice talking talking w you the other night.
I’ve only ever used R7 in the Reloder powders. Used mainly AR2209 and sine AR2206 and many IMR powders. In Winchester I used mainly 296 760 748...

Geoff Mcdonald emailed me with load data.
Wow what a great company to deal with - so helpful.
AR2209 seems to give high velocity with relatively low pressure. Must be a truly great powder.
I think Woodleigh is sending me the 450 grain...
I would like to use AR2209
I saw R17 somewhere
Don’t know where though
R17 will give 2150
With 74 grains
getting up there though
Any suggestions on powder

I’m going use Reloder 17 (74 grains) in my Remington...
Only comment is that you won’t get many shots out of the barrel.
Suggest you check very thoroughly if second hand.
Sako has a sort of control feed but omg the bolts are so slick!

Me too but rarely use it. Always some other rifle I take out. It’s a case if it’s too big for Rusa or too small for big stuff.
Ah well I guess...

If you can get 2400!!
I suggest that the bullet will be fine. A 100 FPS difference is unlikely to have a dramatic effect.
Probably way down on loads as a precaution. Note that the manuals cater for very old 30/06s.
Suggest you work up the loads but don’t be surprised...
Agreed and that was my experience too - best groups - max velocity
AR2209 (Australian powder) = 4350
Great powder for the :06.
Also produces great groups.
Suggest you check recoil pad to see if you can improve on...
I used to use wheel weights - right sort of metal combinations.
