The picture showing the dog most of the way there before the Zebra is down shows some determination.

Great shot on a nice trophy.

Yes! This dog is incredible. We all fell in love with him! So much courage in a so small body!

Did you notice on the picture the stream of blood pumped out of the zebra heart, at the chevron level?

This was really close to the French "Felicitations Marie, c'est un beau zebre avec de grandes rayures"

Interesting you use the word stripes instead of Markings I must remember that.
 
Congrats to your son on a fine hunt. It may have been his third and last animal for this Safari but I have a feeling you'll all be going back.
 
You are perfectly right! We are thinking of going back on the Northern part of RSA, on the East side in the Limpopo or on the West side in the Kalahari! This time we want BIIIG open spaces, without traces of human beings in any direction (no poles, houses, electric lones, fences....). Full immersion into Africa, followed by tourism in National Parks.

Herve...once you get a taste of Africa you're addicted for life. It's worse than any drug known to man. After my trip last year I went completely insane. All I think about now is how to get myself back there as soon as possible. Make it happen my friend...Cheers!

Before posting the last postcard of our safari, here is a video of our last training at the shooting range, 6 days before the safari. We shot on tripode at 200 and 100 meters on a self-made impala target. The shooter was to shoot and tell where he thought the impact was, before looking into the scope. This is the way we trained and we managed to be very precise in our announcments. Marie was just awesomly precise, I was a little less, and figured that the rifle was shooting a bit on the left.

FAN-TASTIC. Congrats on the family hunt. I made my first safari in May-June in RSA. Just looking at those photos gets my juices going. I am booked for 2014 and 2015 and can't wait to get back.
