Politics

Well a new era is just beginning....after four years of hate speech from the right and no one prosecuted hopefully those days are behind us. A big surprise waits us in the actions of the new administration...but I think that surprise will not be a welcome one.
Pardon the comment “from the right”, it was meant to be “toward the right“, too early and not enough coffee to be alert in proofing.

It started 4 years ago lying about whether or not it rained and the size of the crowd; it ends with leading a failed coup and acts of domestic terrorism leaving the nation's capital a war zone. In a couple months, he will be barred from running for public office ever again. A fitting end for the most corrupt, self-dealing, divisive leader in this nation's history.

Joe Biden is a relic whose party is leaving him (and me) behind. Joe is a good man, an honest man, a caring man with a lifetime of public service. He is the leader the nation desperately needs to lead us out of a pandemic, to help the millions of service / hospitality workers who are desperate, heal the nation, and show the world the US is still a global leader. Joe will likely choose to serve 1 term, but these 4 years are critical to the future of this nation. I have confidence in President Biden and all Americans should wish him success like we used to do.

And this is a perfect example of why democrats cannot be taken seriously...

I especially enjoyed the line about Biden being a good, honest, caring man with a lifetime of public service... Ordinarily, I would wish him success right up until he called 74 million Americans domestic terrorists.. Yep, a message for unity and healing if I ever heard it...

Not to get into a back and forth on this as I think we could have a full blown keyboard warrior fight on this.

But I truly hope he is successful and exceeds my expectations, above all else I want America to be a prosperous nation that continues to be a global leader. America and the American dream and what it stands for is bigger than all of us.

Think you have more chance of being welcomed into the club of welfare state countries......

Regrettably, the whole globalism concept, which Obama and Biden embraced, is built around the notion of the diminishing importance of the nation state. It is an altruistic set of objectives which at best would create a median line global prosperity and personal safety construct which by definition, would be something the most prosperous and free nation on the planet (hint - the United States) would experience as economic decline and a "refocusing" of personal freedom for the collective rather than individual good. It is, of course cloaked, in the bunting of social and climate justice.

It is a theory which is the antithesis of maintaining the US as a global leader.

I truly hope the Biden and his farther left enablers' agenda and is an utter and complete failure.

It is such an abhorrent rejection of what is in the national interests of this country, its future, and its people that I gladly held my nose and voted for Trump twice. I will do everything in my power to try and end the democrat legislative majority in '22 to insure his every significant effort is stillborn.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Said about the guy who literally bragged about getting a prosecutor fired in order to protect a business where his coke head, OTH-discharged son was making almost 7 figures.

honest. yeah. said about the guy who owns a '67 Sting Ray, bought on a politician's salary.

the chronic lying with this guy goes back to the 1970s, where he told a whopper about how his first wife died and ruined a man's life in the process. to the 80s, where it was discovered he had plagiarized.

his bald-faced racism in the crime control act of 1993.

his sponsored legislation, the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 2005, made it unlawful to discharge student debt via bankruptcy.

the inflation of his wife's title, also disgustingly dishonest. my dad is a PhD (a real PhD, not a useless EdD). He got called "doctor" at work because he worked at university.
He also met Jill when she was married. But that isn't the love story you hear.

You know as I wrote that, I thought my definition of success and Joe's/Democrats definition is probably vastly different.

Just flipped from the music channel to another, just in time to see Harris with her hand on the Bible. It was nauseating. I quickly flipped back to music. It's a sad day for our republic.

She didn't burst into flames?

One can only hope Karma does it's magic on these two fakers.

Hats off to the bravest man on this site!

Not sure how or why you would believe that Joe Biden is an honest man.

His political career literally started on a bed of lies.. and has continued to be filled with verifiable lies for the past 45+ years.

His presidential run in 1988 basically fell apart after he got caught in lie after lie.. the most famous were the lies about his education..

Later he admitted "I exaggerate when I am angry".. and then blamed the lies that he admitted he "exaggerated" on, to having the flu... (being questioned about his education and having the flu, made him angry..)..

Granted.. I think most, if not all politicians are professional liars.. Biden probably isnt any worse than many others...

But believing he is an "honest" man... I think thats a bit naive..

So I would have been happy and content if Hollywood would have bestowed a "Lifetime Achievement Award" to Joe. Instead, 80 million votes were counted that said he should be POTUS.

Since he is our President for the foreseeable future, I do hope Biden is successful in moving the US forward in a positive way.

If he was truly brave, he would demonstrate the fortitude to be honest with himself and others in taking a realistic view of the democratic party and their hypocritical destructive rhetoric, identity-based policies, and divisive agendas.

Until we, as a society, can have frank, honest discourse over the most serious issues that threaten our culture and politics, real progress will never be made. For the last 12 years, the democrats have proven to be completely unwilling and incapable of doing this in any meaningful capacity.

If Biden was a Republican, I would not vote for him.

I used to be a Democrat many, many nightmares ago until Bill Clinton attempted to disarm me with his “assault” weapons ban. Fortunately, it didn’t work. My view of this Presidential election is many, many voters voted for Biden ONLY because they hated Trump. This is hardly a positive, overwhelming mandate for Biden or his agenda going forward.
