Dave is South African born and from a very early age has been a passionate hunter. Upon graduation he gained 12 months of practical experience in animal husbandry with feedlotting of cattle. The opportunity to develop a large game ranch in the Luangwa Valley of Zambia presented itself and entailed a four year apprenticeship in wildlife management and the hunting of dangerous game. The knowledge and experience gained by working with some of the best professional hunters in Zambia was unparalleled. Dave has hunted in Zambia, Cameroon, Botswana, USA and South Africa. Very much a people’s person, Dave is dedicated to tailor-making your dream safari.

Silent Valley
The 20,000 acre private reserve is situated in the far north-west corner of the Limpopo Province in South Africa. The semi-Kalahari prime bushveld terrain is typical of Southern Botswana, residing just the other side of the Groot Marico River. Malaria free and approximately three hours drive from O.R Tambo Airport, your visit is hassle-free. Common plains game on the property is prolific and includes Cape Buffalo, Sable and Roan antelope. The bush camp is well equipped to cater for the perfect safari.

It’s not every day that you come across a sow like this. She was pretty muck on her last legs. Her bottom teethe were so worn down.

We had the privilege to track down not 1 but 2 Roan Antelope . It was not easy hunting due to the wind and very challenging bush. But after many failed stalks and a lot of torn up legs and arms we connected with a 28” and a 29” Bull.

7 Day hunt with a group of hunters. It was a very successful hunt taking 5 Sable bulls. Sizes ranged from 41” - 46”
