Even ones that aren't coming directly from the U.S.?

"President #Ramaphosa: Following an extensive analysis of the progression of the disease worldwide and in South Africa, Cabinet has decided on the following measures:

President #Ramaphosa: We are imposing a travel ban on foreign nationals from high-risk countries such as Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom and China as from 18 March 2020.

President #Ramaphosa: Visa issuing to visitors from these countries is cancelled from today and previously granted visas are hereby revoked.

President #Ramaphosa: Effective immediately, South African citizens are advised to refrain from all forms of travel to or through the European Union, United States, United Kingdom and other identified high-risk countries such as China, Iran and South Korea.


President #Ramaphosa: Any person who has visited high-risk countries in the past 20 days will be denied a visa. South African citizens returning from high-risk countries will be subjected to testing and self-isolation or quarantine on return to South Africa.

President #Ramaphosa: Effective immediately, all non-essential travel for all spheres of government outside of the Republic is prohibited. We further discourage all non-essential domestic travel, particularly by air, rail, taxis and bus."

Very sorry you received this news. Unfortunately for many AH forum members, I think this will become familiar bad news as time goes on. At first I thought my trip would be safe in early July, but becoming a little doubtful each day. I'm hoping for the best and still proceeding forward, but will not be surprised if I have to postpone. This will be my first trip, think about it every day. At this time hoping family isn't affected or my job. Signs are not positive.
 
We are dealing with group think insanity. It is more contagious than the virus. I’ll continue to be optimistic but if this kind of reaction persists past May 1 we may not recover from this (hysteria not actual health concerns).
So sorry for those affected now,

President Trump joined the club and just announced:

Americans should "avoid gathering in groups of more than 10 people, avoid discretionary travel and avoid eating and drinking in bars/restaurants and public food courts”.
 
Definitely sucks, but we need to get past this by any short term means. Our country cannot function closed. Keep practicing and keep the dream alive, it will happen as hard as it is try to be patient.
 
Hate it for you, but keep practicing and thinking about it everyday. It’ll still happen.
Looks like I’m about to reschedule my May trip with Namibia’s closure. I certainly feel for you.

Have a late may and october trips planned, so now in the wait and see what happens plan.
 
We can reschedule .. BUT .. I think we could have found a way to keep clean getting there. The place I stay is in the middle of no where. AZDAVE .. I'm thinking your May trip is toast .. I'm looking at October as a new date for myself also. Good luck all.. K
 
Sorry to hear. If we keep our wits about us and relax for a few weeks we may just stop this thing. Keep practicing and planning. I am joining you. My April 15 trip has cancelled. I am now a tentative for an August 19 trip. But I will still go to the range weekly. Good luck to all.
