Another great deal at the Rockin-G-Ranch. I assume the new lodge will be fully ready and broken in by then? So, you should be able to sit on the porch mornings and evenings watching the distant fields for hogs, mulies, white tails, coyotes, bobcats, etc, etc. Fun stuff!
On my bucket list!
Erik, when does the best season end for aoudad?

I like hunting them Oct-Early April. Really there isn’t a bad time but they are next to impossible to find once it Green’s up and the Bush thickens.

Good window of time! I’m thinking about a spring break combination hunt with the granddaughter? Me aoudad, her something?

What are you seeking for a deposit? How is the hair in October? pictures show great hair, just wondering if that is typical for October?

We could definitely do that.

So Aoudad hair is about the same year round especially in the mane and chaps. They don’t really slick off or get really wooly during different times of year.

The mid to end part of October and into the first part of November is my absolute favorite time of year here. The weather is perfect, which is saying something for the panhandle.

Oh sorry I forgot to say the deposit is the total of the day fees ($600). Trophy fee is only payable if you shoot an Aoudad. Wounded and unrecovered is the same as taken.

Nice offer Erik, on a fun hunt. FWIW I hunted aoudad in Texas three times before I met Erik. On bargain hunts. I first got nothing. Then a 25" ram, then a 27" ram. I had about $12K invested counting travel. Cutting to the chase, I booked with Gizmo, and on the third day of a tough hunt, killed a 31" ram. I should have started there. Thanks for the offer Erik, and best of luck..................FW Bill

This is a great hunt with great people. Erik is not kidding about being ready to hike some distance and elevation changes. I took my 15 year old son, loved every minute of the hunt, and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Justin put my boy on a great ram. Good luck to whoever grabs these hunts.
