I have the opportunity to purchase one of these with my employee discount at work which is very tempting. Does anyone have any experience with one of these? How is the fit and finish on them and any idea how accurate they are? I have literally never owned a ruger rifle.
 
I'm going to guess you are going to get a resounding "BUY IT" I have no personal experience but a lot of the guys on here love both the rifle and the caliber
 
I own both the 275 Rigby version and the 6.5x55. They’re great rifles in a very traditional sense. Fit and finish are very good, though the action is a little rough cycling, but quite reasonable for the cost. Triggers are good. Mine shoot right at 1 MOA. They’re not modern super rifles that will print 1/2 MOA groups, but who cares, they’re capable for taking game to reasonable distances and wonderful traditional rifles that are a joy to handle. Buy one ASAP if you can. We should really commend Ruger for offering such a traditional rifle in a market that generally has little interest in such things. I know for a fact this is a labor of love project for Ruger and Lipsey’s.
 
Buy it! Get them off the market so the price goes up... I have 3, plus 2 in 275 and one in 9.3x62. Took a 275 to Africa and enjoyed shooting a bunch of critters. 10 one night;) Even got a daytime African Chupacabra with it:)

I doubt I will either. Plus this one rounds out my 30 cal and under collection. I had all of the standard bullet diameters from 22 to 30 filled except for the .264. Seemed like a glaring oversight.

I've got a .300 H&H and .375 H&H in LH on order right now, but once I'm ready to get another rifle it will be a 6.5x55, likely the tikka since it has to be LH, unless I give in and give the zastava a go....
