Brownstone Ripped Me off... Don't Use them Fellow AH members!

What ever you DON'T USE BROWNSTONE INTERNATIONAL FOR YOU IMPORT AND SHIPPING!!! I just got Royally bent over by them... It was my first time shipping and I have to say they are 2-3x higher than I have found in the industry and by accident the shipping company disclosed what they billed Brownstone International, and they marked the shipping I paid for to them up 300% to me... just very bad business..
For a small crate of South African animals, I overpaid by 800.00

I would only use them if you are wanting to throw your money away!

Never heard of them either. I’m not sure you did the proper research on this.

They verbally quoted a price then invoice came in a lot higher, along with higher shipping. I responded that I was out of town for the next month, was told it wasn't a problem and that it was in their warehouse. I got home and then wanted to charge me storage fees.. I was pissed when I was told no fees to store it at their warehouse for 4 weeks. Then today shipping company called to set up delivery, and I asked if he had a lift gate, he said no its an additional charge.. when I specifically asked for one at Brownstone. He then gave me the price I paid for the shipping and it was 1/3 of what I gave to Brownstone.. I called Brownstone and they were pissed the shipping agent gave me that price and they tried to dance around and tell me that was the wrong information. I called the shipper back and they verified it again... He then told me they all mark it up significantly.... He also said that Brownstone tore them a new ass for telling me the real shipping quote...

I tried to leave a google review and they blocked my email.... lol What scumbags.

I called around to other import agents and for my crate and the contents under that classification, their fees were 600.00 cheaper and the shipping was the same coming all the way from TX to ID...

Brownstone is the classic bait and switch, very vague in the beginning but when they have your package, they stick it to you and you don't have a choice...

Buyer beware on this one....

In my opinion it is not, I spoke to a company that is called World wide logistics and they were highly recommend, and half the cost of Brownstone and were transparent on the shipping for me to pay direct to shipper.

Internet is a wonderful thing in that aspect that it can keep everyone on a level playing field
