Good gunsmiths around Chicago?

Need chamber castings done on 2 rifles I have.
Buddy has handgun that needs to have work done.
Seems there’s a lack of quality ‘smiths around Chi-town. Any members here still in Illinois? I’m trying to escape from “crook” county very soon.

Want to locate to crab orchard area. Johnson or Williamson county.
2 hours is well within drive for me, thanks.
 
Have you tried Maxom in Des Plaines or GAT guns in Carpentersville.
 
Been to gat guns, bought 3 handguns and 1 rifle there. Great place. Never asked about there gunsmiths.
Will look both of those gunsmiths up. Thanks.
My Rifles are older so trying to be careful as to who I let work on them.

@rookhawk might be able to make a recommendation also.

I know they have a GS on duty but what kind of work they do I'm not sure pretty nice selection of new and used guns on hand

Why I need a good gunsmith. Doing my part to protect The rifles from”inexperienced” hands, and have a good chamber cast along with provenance from London for the next caretakers of these fine rifles.

This is from 1914.
