Geoff Mcdonald from Woodleigh sent me some 450 grain Weldcore Bullets in 416 caliber to test.
The wet season has rolled in so I won’t get a chance to experiment for a while.
Raoul put the bullet in a vice and just kept crunching.
I expected the bullet to come apart and/or split the copper jacket.
I’m genuinely truly surprised.
I figure the crunch in the vice would at least give me some idea of the performance.
Any comments ??

Hey Dr Ray, you may need to add a bit more velocity.
My experience as shown it the other thread is that the jacket will tend to fracture on the rifling marks and these petals then peel back with some tearing off.

Just cannot test atm. But will.
Then I can provide data that are realistic to Woodleigh.
Have you any photos etc of the Bullets after firing??

Dr Ray, I posted them in the other thread re 450gn Woodleighs
