Not as many as we would like to, as its pretty far down most trophy hunter's bucket list and unfortunately the cost of such a hunt doesn't make it any easier either. 2019 was our first season taking clients there, we went on 2 x separate safaris and got beautiful sitatunga both times. High numbers present, not over-hunted at all, with strict quota management...awesome area with amazing hunting memories. How many sitatunga do you hunt a year?
Do you have pictures of the ones taken last year? Not as many as we would like to, as its pretty far down most trophy hunter's bucket list and unfortunately the cost of such a hunt doesn't make it any easier either. 2019 was our first season taking clients there, we went on 2 x separate safaris and got beautiful sitatunga both times. Hi Bruce, yes there are high numbers, and not over-hunted at all...and not all hunted from same machans/same areas..so 5 hunt days on Sitatunga has proven to be enough (and the black lechwe roams in herds of up to 2000 that we have encountered there last year - I have taken awesome video footage of this). So I gotta ask. Why 5 days? Are there so many Sitatunga you only need 3 or so days? A Sitatunga is close to the top of my most wanted list, so I'm looking at places to go. When I go to africa its 28-38 hrs to get there or more each way and a couple of thousand dollars. Personally I need/want more hunting days.
So how much a day for more hunting days? Other animals in that area that can be hunted? Thanks
Bruce
Martin, thanks I have received and replied in detail.Hey Francois will send you a email.
