Me and my wife are planning our second safari for a couple years from now and have some specific requirements that I am hoping to get some recommendations to a Safari Company that could meet our needs.
I am looking to take a Nyala and a red hartabeest. Those two are a must and my wife is looking to take a Black Impala and that is a must. The other animals we would like to take but are not a must are a small cat species, black wildebeest, kudu, jackal, bushbuck. We want a nice lodge with good food, good people and WiFi

Hello Mitchell,

You came to the right place to plan your safari. We can offer and meet all the requirements you requested sir. I will send you a private message in just a second.

All my best,

Jacques

Mitchell,

Multiple great options on AH that could take care of you, although I would recommend @Limcroma Safaris. We've hunted with them a couple times and had great results, everything you've requested including luck with the small cats and night critters.

You will have plenty of options, as your list is pretty common.
Good luck with your next adventure.

Another thumbs up for Limcroma Safaris..!!! (y) My husband and I hunted with them a few years back and everything was absolutely first class. Hannes and his staff exceeded all of our expectations down to the smallest details. I can't imagine a better choice for a couple's safari. I'm a sure they have all of the animals you are looking for and more. You are welcome to message me anytime if you have questions about our safari with them.

Congratulations on you planning of a hunt with the Ms. . We have a very nice lodge that is very wife friendly. You list of animals is very nice indeed. PM Sent

For the safari you are looking for, I highly recommend @Limcroma Safaris as well. They are couples & family specialists. As @Ross Reamy and @LadyKiller have already said, the lodges are beautiful, the food is amazing, and the staff is on point by every measure. Hannes Els runs an impressive outfit to say the least. He has an enormous amount of hunting property, and I am sure he can accommodate you on all of the animals that you are interested in.

Feel free to pm me as well if you would like a reference. I would be glad to answer any questions you might have about our safari with them.

I highly recommend Bos en Dal Safaris. I have hunted with Gerrit and his crew the last two years and have a third trip booked for 2020. They have all the animals you are interested in, I have taken most of them and all were exceptional trophies. Check out my hunt reports. PM me if you would like more information or talk about them

I highly recommend Bos en Dal Safaris. I hunted with Gerrit and Frikkie in 2018. One of the best hunts I was ever on. The food and lodging was fantastic. They treat you like kings. Every thing was first class. The animals I took, were all exceptional. I’m looking forward to going back and hunting with them!!!

I see Jacques already posted, but I’d add that JKO will do its best to get you all of those animals and of solid quality too.

On a side note, how’s the snow pack there this year in Alpine. I used to fish the South Fork quite a bit, just down the toad from you.

You are going to get a ton of contacts from well respected outfitters. Talked to a bunch of them and go with someone you personally like, there isn't any one right answer. What might be a great fit for me, could not be best for you.

Snow is deep in Alpine this year. Jackson broke the January snow record in the first two weeks of January

Mitchell, I hunted South Africa for the first time in June of this year and hunted with Jacques Spamer with JKO Safaris.. I have known Jacques for about 10 years thru a mutual friend. All I can say thru that experience is Jacques will work hard to provide you a hunt that you will not forget and you will have a chance to harvest truly quality animals. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Going to at least one of the big conventions like DSC, HSC or SCI is a big help.
Do your research at home then go to the show and meet the people.
As much as this is about hunting, it's also about the relationships we build.

My wife is a very good judge of character and when she met Drom from Somerby Safaris, we clicked.
I will say that we had an excellent time and I would highly recommend them.
But this is YOUR safari and YOU are the one who needs to make the connection with the PH.

To save me prattling on about my hunt you can check my post in hunting reports under the title hunting with Harald and Liezel at Osambahe Nord safaris.
There are also a lot of other reports on other great outfits.
Cheers mate Bob.
