They're getting their foot in the door with this. I really believe that the powers to be want to stop meat consumption.

Lots of exemptions, but you don't know what will happen down the road, if the law will be changed.

Frankly, from experience more people get pissed off, if the defendant is not maxed out for animal cruelty, then about rape, assault, or murder.

Yes probably.
StRe government meeting removed meat from menu after the vegans got “persuasion”.

They could start looking at feed lots rodeos horse racing. I think animal cruelty should be punished but why is the federal government sticking there nose in it. Maybe should check out the Saudis for human cruelty.

Well zoophilia is now illegal in all 50 states so that's a good thing.

Hmmm...I wonder if vegan aunties watch Hostile Planet? Talk about animal cruelty!

I personally disagree with parts of your post, I've spent a lot of time in and around rodeo events. In order to get the best out of a horses one must embrace the best in feeding and training available. The hours spent with the animal creates a bond one can't comprehend without experiencing.

As for the bucking events saddle bronc bulls ect. Watching a good horse or bull work is similar to watching a good bird dog in action. If your lucky you get to see an animal athlete at the hight of their craft.

As for feed lots I personally don't stand with them or factory farms. Growing up around the beef industry and having experience working in an abattoir I can assure you their is no comparison between the quility of beef.

If they try stop meat consumption think of the snowball effect it would have on industry. I doubt it can happen but why do we bow to a few green vegans and focus so much on some aspects of cruelty. Punish cruelty but don’t try change what the majority have evolved with. There are countries that have far worse culture and accepted behaviour than western countries.
Let the minority go interfere in a country where it won’t be accepted and they May think better of it when they see how good it is living in a civilised country.

The goal is total control of the populace. No meat, no guns, no hunting, no fossil fuels, no history if it's unpleasant, nothing offensive, ad nauseum.

I agree and everyone on social security. Who is going to pay for all of this??

Bernie and all those other freaks have this all schemed out. The few of us still working and contributing will be hit even harder to support all the useless and worthless carcasses in the country.

I hunt. A lot. But I am opposed to animal cruelty, if cruelty is defined as causing unnecessary pain to an animal for personal gratification. If pain is the goal, it's just wrong. So it depends on who is defining the term and what their goals are. This kind of bill bears watching as their may be room for misuse in the legitimate use of animals.

Next thing you know they'll try to hang you for walking your dog with a collar and leash. "You're strangling the poor thing!!"
