2020 Lion Combo Hunting Packages South Africa - 20 Years As Full Time Outfitters

Farm Raised Lions non-exportable?
What size is the Lion enclosure where the lions are hunted in?

I am sure the lions are exportable. They may not be Importable depending on your country you wish to import into. I cannot afford a wild born lion hunt, this type of hunt is my only way I will hunt a lion. Booked with Umlilo and Francois for July 2020 and cant wait. OMG excited is closer. Not getting into emotions, misguided feelings or peoples views, as long as all legal IAW SAPA, they have a long list of rules that must be followed to be considered a SAPA accredited facility. I am not a hunter of inches or name in books. The experience will be with me my whole life as will the mount in my memory room. I'm Canadian, importation allowed for now.

Very limited areas of Africa where only true wild lions stand a chance of getting an import permit from our wonderful USFW. Now your best chances are to hunt one where the cost would exceed 65k easily and then and only then the chances are slim.

Well past my pay grade. That kind of money would allow a month PG hunt yearly. Now I would like that, more time in Africa the better.

Interesting, I didnt know this. Been looking into hunts and hadn't run across that, I've seen the nonexportable elephants but I guess they cant cover all the possible import problems.

Hopefully that changes by the time I can make it happen

Is this a problem for any other species coming into the US?

Lion elephant rhino just about impossible right now. There also trying to mess with leopard too. Many American hunters are waiting on elephant ivory to be allowed back in. Lion too. It’s anyone’s guess if and when it will ever be allowed to be imported to this country.

Dang, thats a bummer. Google said the trump administration approved 33 lion imports, assuming those folks had some pull and weren't just average joes. Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed for a while until I get that far. Knowing that, leopard might have to move up my list so it can be imported while its allowed, provided I'm lucky enough to get one anyway

How long of a hunt is recommended for lion, buffalo, and sable and what are the success rates?
Good day Mike, if you are fit and love the idea of walk & stalk/hunt on foot: then minimum 5 full days hunt / 6 nights....up to 7 full days hunt / 8 nights, depending on your flexibility. Success is 100% in terms of very decent opportunities on top quality animals as per booked hunt. We all we can to get you as the hunter in perfect position under best controlled situations

Good day Fred,
Farm Raised in an incorrect and its a description that could be quite provocative: Captive Bred is the correct term
...and the same applies to the term enclosure (simply because all privately owned hunting land in South Africa, Namibia & Zambia are fenced off).
Lion hunts offered in fenced-off area of 2000 ha / 4800 acres, present are also Buffalo, Sable, Roan + more
Lions hunts done on foot only, walk & stalk
No shooting from vehicles / No baiting allowed / No Lion hunts allowed from a blind

Yes, those permits that were approved were for cats shot years ago and I’m fairly certain they were taken on the high dollar wilderness hunts. If you’re serious about leopard go now! Leopard are on the antis radar next! The cat in my avitar was taken this past June in Namibia. PM me if you’d like info.

I don’t think your correct as far as all private farms in Namibia are fenced off. I’ve hunted their twice and both times I hunted unfenced farms.

I see your a fellow BCer. I waited more years than I wanted since my last safari, it is time. This safari started small and morphed into a 21 day multi area/species hunt. I am truly afraid with all the no brain crap in todays world (BC Griz, California BS, England's BS) that a time will come in my life when we will not be allowed to do what we love. Find a way to book now and go before its too late is all I can say.

I hear you. I'm nearing the end of my working life (as a millwright) so I most likely won't be affording many more hunts in Africa. What you are doing is the way go. It'll be awesome! What other species are you interested in?

You will NEVER have 1 safaris, this will be my 4th. As soon as I return in 2020 I will be planning my next (always happens, just when is unknown), it will most likely be a green rhino to finish my big 5 and while I am there may as well hunt hippo to finish dangerous 7. The best planned safari changes, morphs into something different. So my list may change between now and the next. I don't care about inches or my name in a book, but to have hunted creates the only part of safari that matters. Memories.

PS I really miss the boating up BC fiords, anchoring and using the kayak to search for the biggest male grizz on the grassy estuaries. I still do this hunt, just now have bow and work around those griz to find the blackies. Dam that manage by emotion stupid Gov we have.
