I wonder what is the handgun to rifle ratio. I'm guessing eight or ten to one.

USA Today is tracking background checks thus far in 2019 and notes this year could witness an all-time record for the number of background checks conducted.
On November 15, 2019, Breitbart News reported checks run via the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) were at all-new highs during the months of August, September, and October 2019. And the FBI shows the total number of checks January 2019 through October 2019 as 22,858, 104.

USA Today reports that the record for most NICS checks in one year is 27.5 million. This means American gun buyers could break that record in 2019, especially when you consider that Black Friday sales will be part of November 2019 background check figures.

In 2016 there were 203,086 background checks on Black Friday alone.

National Shooting Sports Foundation general counsel Larry Keane noted the anti-gun vitriol of Democrat presidential hopefuls is a driving factor in gun sales at this point, and the addition of gun control candidates like Michael Bloomberg will likely the sales higher.

Keane said, “There is such a stark contrast between the two (parties), guns will be just as important in 2020 as they were in 2016.”

Just think of all the sales that aren’t run through NICS because of CHL’s. I love the fact that there is a surge in gun sales, makes me feel safe and snug at night.

Anything to f**k with the loony lefty libtards. I just flat love it and hope it continues. May they all drown in their own foolishness.

You mean a Concealed Carry license? Here in WA fairly recently a CPL as its called here was good for cash and carry but you still had to do NICS. Now since WA put in the new laws recently the FBI said no more courtesy NICS, do it yourself in state.
So for handguns, WA does it all, no NICS, but for long guns we still do NICS, CPL or not. And must also now put up with the 10 day wait for pick up, (handguns) which with CPL was waived before.
With now having Dems in control of both states houses here, they have a long list of new gun laws they plan to pass soon, and an all too willing libtard of a Gov to sign them. Its gonna get ugly here I am afraid.

Wow! It’s to bad that the liberal migration didn’t go further westward like lemmings into the sea! Is Douchebags one or two words!

I always assumed, yes I know, that most places would still do a NICS check even with a pistol permit/license. As I say it was SOP here with permit or not, before I-1639 was passed.

This is a letter from the Texas DPS recommending that dealers check through NICS because of revoked license. Though they are unaware of any cases!

Just glad to be doing my part

I just received my concealed weapons permit here in Georgia. Simple procedure $79 payable to the county probate court they did there background check had my permit in 6 weeks.

Colorado is the same way, no special privileges for licensed gun owners you still have to go through all the checks.

Come and carry here in Oklahoma! As of November 1, you no longer need a concealed carry license! Of course, still a ncis check to purchase a firearm.

dont need one in idaho but i still get it as it is honored in 27 other states.

Sesto..............I sleep soundly at nite knowing that WA has passed laws making it illegal to kill people. Why didn't someone think of that 2000 years ago?.............FW Bill

Exactly, take away the guns, we will kill with knives, just like we did before guns were around. Take away the knives, rocks will be the tool of the trade. Not a hard concept to follow.
