Hello Hunters

I would be interested to know what everyone's African wishlist is. I'll start with mine

1. Greater Kudu
2. Sable Antelope
3. Cape Buffalo
4. Oryx
5. Lord Derby's Giant Eland
6. Warthog
7. Nile Crocodile
8. Blue Wildebeest
9. Hippo
10. Buchbuck

Nice list.

My remaining (African) wishlist: (after 2020)

Sable
Crocodile
Cape Buffalo
Leopard
Lion

Croc, Buff, and maybe a nice Zebra. I will always yearn for another Kudu though, it's a sickness, it pollutes my thoughts and I don't know if I will ever get over this.

The Tiny Ten.

Having hunted all of them with clients I am in pursuit of my own. Adding Vaal rhebuck and mountain Reed buck to make 12.

I use the Rowland Awards measurement and age as my determining factor.

Have now 5 1/4" Common duiker, large Mnt Reedbuck 8 1/2" with lots of secondary growth and thick bases . Next is a Steen buck, I know where he lives and he has lost his partner, I have fleeting glimpses of him and I recon he will go 5 1/2. Not that I intend registering any of them, I just prefer hunting old specimens.

Going to take a while yet...

Hunting the Tiny 10 for myself as well, but attempting it with my bow. However, my standards have to be a little lower than yours.
Good Luck with your quest, and let me know if you need help with your Vaalie. I know a guy.

WOW!! Doing it with a bow! That is awesome and is definitely going to take some doing...You almost make me feel guilty....

Would appreciate the offer on a contact for Vaalie, hunted them in the Freestate Drakensberg mountains as well, have been trying to get access on some non game farms in the Riversdal area without success so far...

I don't really have a list but if I did Leopard would be at the top. I have 2 of the tiny ten so the remaining 8 especially a Suni , a Kudu, I would always take an opportunity for a good Buffalo, a big Warthog, Spotted Hyena. Really just about anything I came across would be fine with me.

Targets of opportunity. What I see that I don't have and would like to have.

Whenever you are ready, drop me a message. Will be happy to help out.

Things which l could not ever hunt in India :
African elephant
Giraffe
Rhinoceros
Lion
Wildebeest
Gemsbok
Kudu
Also , l dream of shooting the elephant and rhinoceros with a 460 Weatherby magnum calibre bolt operation rifle , using modern homogeneous metal bullets weighing 500 grains.

My list is getting smaller:

Leopard
Kudu
Klipspringer
Zebra

I would shoot a good waterbuck or bushbuck again. Would want to do another tuskless hunt.

A couple of the tiny 10 - Red Duiker and Grysbok

And then it is more about locations:
West Africa (Benin/Cameroon)
Uganda
Ethopia/Tanzania if I can ever afford it.

Ok I guess that is still a pretty good list

Living life like a lion for 1 day is better than living life like a jackal for 100 years.
