LOOKING AT FLIGHTS FROM FLORIDA TO JNB ON EMIRATES THAT CHANGES PLANES IN DUBAI. ANYONE ELSE FLOWN THEM? HAD ISSUES? THANKS, SETH

No problems, Emirates is great! Just fill out the online form at least 30 days before the flight. I preprinted a few copies in case there was a problem but everything was first class. They had copies online and were prepared when I showed up at the check in counter.

I flew through Dubai and changed planes there, all went good. Had trouble in the US on a connecting flight coming home as I had a bow and the staff had no idea what to do and treated it as a firearm and made me miss my connecting flight .

I transferred through Dubai on Emerites in 2016 with no problems at all. Follow their firearm rules if you are taking a gun, but it’s easy. Large airport but very modern and easy to navigate.

The gentleman above covered it! Great airline! Plus I think they only hire beautiful flight attendants! After flying SAA once Joburg to Dulles and being constantly woken up and pummeled by the stewardess’ Double axe handle sized ass every time she waddled past really made Emirates a great choice!

A little bit of a process flying them with rifles, but not so bad. I’ve made the trip to RSA five times now on five different airlines. Emirates was best followed closely by Qatar Airways.

The only problem I had was finding the lounge in Dubai.

I have flown both Eco and Bus. Eco better service then US carriers, but go Bus if you can. And if a choice of flights on a B777 or A380, take the A380 flight.

Pretty much a summation of what everyone else has stated.

I flew them out of SEA to JNB through DBX this past September. I chickened out and didn't fly with a rifle, but they seem to be reasonable through other reports and the experience of @Travel Express. You just have to do your job with the paperwork.

I splurged on business class on the long flights. It was about half of what Delta was charging for business class out of Atlanta. Yes, it was worth it if you can swing it. The seat the gives you room and full 180 recline is a nice luxury on a 8-14 hour flight. You also gain access to the lounge which gives you some pretty good chow and access to a shower and sleeping areas which feel fantastic after long flights. As noted above, the lounge at DBX was hard to locate for me also. The airport was amazing to be in for me.

Flight attendants are prompt, courteous and easy to look at.

Yes, fly the A380. The triple 7 isn't bad, but the A30 (window seat) was just so many times better.

The A380 flies out of Orland by the way....

I am starting to fly to Africa exclusively on Emirates which is many times a year and love them. Plan to spend a day or two in Dubai! What an amazing city and if your into fishing, spend half a day fishing the Persian Gulf. I am excited every time I go. Oh and lastly, what a cool journey to fly over the North Pole

Last line should be Orlando, not Orland... Too late to edit my mitten typing...
