Life After The Indian Hunting Ban

Thank you my friend so much for the gift you have provided all of us over the last few weeks. I am sure they will provide a great reading in Hoss’s book, but I hope that you will seriously consider putting together something of your own. It will be a unique glimpse of a period of history which is all too little known or understood in the West.

In particular, thank you for reminding us the toll that the sort of war you fought can take on a people. A number of contributors here have seen combat, but few of us have fought for our very existence - our right to exist as a free people.

You have been my good friend from the very beginning and showed me nothing but support. I do want to write my own book too , but look at my accounts. It lists out a great deal of unethical things which l have done during those times :
Killing leopards with folidol , shooting animals repeatedly with SG cartridges to kill them , breaking into Buxa tiger reserve and participating in the killing of three Royal Bengal tigers in one day . That is just some of the unethical things l had to partake in , during that time. I am genuinely afraid that the anti hunting people may attempt to use my book to demonize hunters and paint is as evil. In such a case , would l not be causing harm to future generations of hunters ?
Regarding combat , l am grateful for your kind assessment. Every soldier in the world must be respected for the way they fight for their country. My heart goes out for all the brave men fighting ISIS now in the Middle East. I also feel very bad for the soldiers of the Vietnam War. I was reading a book last week about how they were demonized after returning to the United States of America , for merely carrying out their orders . Being a military background gentleman yourself , you could relate to me very quickly .

I really hope that this is not your final words here, I have really enjoyed your stories from a time that will soon be forgotten. I like others here hope that you will take the time to write a book on your time as a Hunter and guide in India.

Far from it . I am a regular contributor on these forums and will definitely be here every day . And if anyone ever wants me to write an article about any particular hunting topic , l will gladly oblige .

"I know that l will not be believed when l say this , but some of these people even drink cow urine , under the belief that it will give them a male child . "

I'll believe you right away.
In Zimbabwe we were once on a farm, searching for a scout, administered by an Indian.
After the very cordial farewell, I saw from the corner of my eye how the administrator bent down and washed his hands with dry cow shit.
My PH said to me, it was an orthodox Hindu, for him we Christians are impure................................
The Orthodox have all a harm for me, no matter what they believe in, no matter which direction.

How is today the situation in India for hunters and marksmen (and meat eaters :) ) ??

No one here in the West knew of Indira Gandhi's terror against her own people.
When I think about your life and the many painful losses you had and had to endure.
Honestly, was it so bad earlier under the stable conditions of Pax Britannica ?

The situation today is just as bad , if not worse due to way they now use social media to demonize hunters and meat eaters. Local citizens do not have access to imported fire arms and ammunition . They can only purchase arms and ammunition manufactured by Ishapore Arms Factory . These include :
.22 bore pistol
.32 bore pistol
.315 bore bolt operation rifle
12 bore DBBL gun ( over and under )
These are some of the worst fire arms in existence and l dare say that they are almost as dangerous to their users , as they are for what ever they are being fired at.
The ammunition made by the Ishapore Arms Factory is filth . On paper , they have a shelf life of five years only. However , in reality you should consider yourself very lucky if those cartridges do not misfire after three months ( this is not an exaggeration).
In Indian cinemas , l can guarantee you that if the film features a meat eater , then they are either the villain , or they turn into a vegetarian by the end of the film .If the film features a hunter , then the hunter is usually a rapist or a psycho serial killer .
There are two places now ( Kuch Bihar and Uttar Pradesh ) which have legalized hunting of Nilgai and boars , as they are damaging crops . However , the vegetarian " intellectuals " are attempting to over turn this and ban the hunting of these beasts ( they prioritize their animal friends over people , evidently ) . I speak with sadness , but l think that they may succeed in returning the ban . If not , then l will go shoot one Nilgai next August of 2020.
Regarding my life , l am certain there are many other people who have suffered worse things . I should consider myself lucky and thank the Lord for what l do have .
Indira Gandhi is viewed as a hero among those vegetarian urine drinking filth , who sadly run the media there today. It is no surprise that they paint her actions positively.
A few months ago , near the border , a Muslim man owned a butcher shop where he was selling mutton and chicken. A mob of " Intellectuals " burnt his shop down , stripped him naked , covered him in pig's blood and force fed him pork . I have a news paper cutting of the article with photographs . Indian media painted these disgusting people as if they simply got over emotional with animal cruelty .
I will never return there ever again . I am much more content in Bangladesh .

Are these vegetarians religiously motivated ?
I think of the sacred cows of India, which must not be curtailed a hair.
India, called the largest democracy in the world, actually a joke.

Foxi ,
These vegetarians follow an unreasonably strict interpretation of Hinduism , just like the Middle Eastern people follow an unreasonably strict interpretation of Islam. Sadly , they are the kinds who dominate India.
I have many Hindu friends in Bangladesh who eat meat and hunt and will eat anything except beef .

Fascinating read. Thank you for so many spellbinding adventures. What happened in India sort of sounds like what some idiots here in America are trying to do. Hunting and firearms are under constant attack.

I wanted to reply to you one more time , because your comment reminded me of something very unpleasant recently. Apparently , a deer hunter in Arkansas got killed recently by a deer. A swine named Tod Perry wrote an article making a mockery of the man's death saying that it was good that the unarmed deer killed the armed hunter. He went on to say that hunting is evil , since meat is available in super markets and he said that hunters should face animals with their bare hands.
How such a retarded excuse of a man could ever become a writer is beyond me . Not one hunter ever treats hunting as if it is a duel . We treat it as thrilling , so armed or unarmed is of no consequence.
Eating the animal we hunt , is half the pleasure. The other half comes from the thrilling experience of finding , stalking and killing the game animal . Essentially acquiring our own food while getting entertainment ( and hopefully killing the animal swiftly ).
And finally , if the Lord gave deer antlers , then he also have man brains to make tools or weapons for hunting . It is merely one species using their abilities to hunt another species .
This man's article was disgusting.

I would not worry about the reception your book might have among the anti-hunting crowd. First of all, it is history and they and their ilk seem completely uninterested in any historical information on any subject. Secondly, some of the best hunting literature still currently in print was written by men who today would be called poachers or worse. The most famous is probably Bell. One can not judge events of the past by the standards of the present. Finally, I think you owe it to yourself and those who would care to leave some record of those adventures - the good and the bad. If not you, my friend - then whom?

Thank you so much for your kind words. Respect is a core principle of my ethics . Other people must be respected unconditionally by me.

Mr. Rahman
Thank you for a wonderful story and view into that chapter of history. I really enjoyed it.

I would like to conclude this article by saying that this is my 20 - th and final article on these forums

Dear mr Rahman,
In last several weeks, with your excellent posts, on fast track you have become, an invaluable member of the forum, an asset actually.

Your tales are living history, your narrative is excellent, and you are also opening the great window to modern Bangladesh hunting, which to many of us was actually unknown hunting destination, until you have joined.

So, I look forward and urge you, for your future participation here, and never say never again! I am certain that with your experience, you have much more to enlighten us, outside of the frame of forthcoming book, by Hoss Delgado (for which I am interested)

Personally, I am very much tight with my spare time and with my busy work schedule, but once in the future, I do hope to visit Bangladesh for purpose of hunting. When the moment comes, I will certainly ask for advice!

So, stay around!

what a wonderful article, thank you for sharing this with us
