Started out the morning cruising along a trail where the Fulaza river meets the Luangwa River. We were seeing lots of game this cool morning (80 Degrees) when we spotted this small group of Cookson’s Wildebeest bulls in the distance.
We got off the land cruiser and began a slow stalk in and attempt to get a better look at the herd. We finally got a good look at the group and selected the biggest of the 7 bulls and waited for him to give me a clear shot.
He finally steps into a clearing and I place the crosshairs on his shoulder and squeeze the trigger on my 375 H&H. The rest as they say is history as I was able to harvest this beautiful trophy! Wildebeest backstraps tonight!
