We get many questions about Norma ECOSTRIKE™ as a component for handloaders. We are both happy and excited that so many hunters and shooters want to handload the innovative copper bullet. We are working hard on this matter, and believe that we will have the opportunity to offer this in the future as part of our Dedicated Components.

ECOSTRIKE™ is a lead-free projectile with polymer tip for better ballistic coefficients and more reliable terminal performance.

the caliber shown in this clip, 7 mm Rem. Mag. was introduced by Remington in 1962 as a short magnum based upon the .375 H&H case this is the most popular and widespread magnum cartridge in the world. The reasons are pretty obvious. Like all the short 7 mm magnum cartridges Remington’s version is a very fine all-round big game cartridge being flat shooting and giving a very tolerable recoil.

Norma, please load the excellent Nosler Accubond 250gr into the 9.3x62 to sit nicely between the 232 and 285gr offerings.

ATB,

Scrummy

Or create a 250gr Bondstrike for the 9.3 - thanks

Very impressive!

With ECOSTRIKE™ we meet a new hunting era, where the sense of being one with nature has reached a higher level. The bullet and its characteristics, takes into account of the rifle, the game, the environment and the meat.

Norma USA..please tell Åmotsfors that they need to include .577 and .600 Nitro Express in the PH range..

There is a market.. as all owners and makers of these double rifles have no reliable source factory ammo in these calibres. I know some British Gunmakers who will use such for regulation of new and old rifles..

I agree with one of the posters above. Any product with "ECO" in the name is an immediate turn off and I'll pass on it.

Other than the plating, is there a difference between this and the other solid bullets?

As to the name, I have to agree with the above. How about Solidstrike or Monostrike? Ecostrike is like driving around in one of those cars with a leaf on the back.

I like the name. Can't imagine why choosing a bullet less harmful for the environment that we hunt in could be seen as offensive.

To me it's just cliche. Too much stuff with eco in the name these days. Too easy to revert to I guess. More bullets should be named in the essence of Trophy Bonded Bear Claw and Sledgehammer.

Well, it’s a better name than Nosler’s E-Tip. That sounds like an electronic projectile...

Take a sharpie and fill the C into G..

Nosler E-tip? If 6 MOA is enough by all means..

This diagram shows the expansion depending on caliber and shooting distance. The speed influences the expansion of a copper bullet more than for a soft nose bullet.

The ECOSTRIKE has a high BC and is designed with this in mind.

The mushroomed bullens were shot in ballistic gelantine.
