Well three of us hunting Namibia in 2020 with Eintracht Jagd Safaris . We have a pretty good list compiled between us. Let me know your alls thoughts on if theres something we definitely should look out for not listed. Be two of ours second trip to africa and one guys first.

Kudu x2
Springbok x2
Mtn Zebra x3
Red heartbeast x3
Eland x2
Warthog x3
Oryx x2
Duiker x2
Steenbok x2
Caracal
Sable
Springhare
Waterbuck
Baboon x3
Jackal x3

Any idea what the plan is for the caracal? It is usually a very specialized effort.

On lower economic level blue or black wildebeest. If not both, then blue as priotity.

And considering the price range between jackal and sable, maybe roan to be considered?

Quite a list already
I second the wildebeests, particularly black since you don't have South African TOPS paperwork to deal with in Namibia. Then perhaps Impala and Burchell's zebra and maybe dik-dik and klipspringer.

Good luck

Holy crap dude, that is one hell of a list!!!
What are you forgetting?
How about your checkbook...;)

Looking forward to the hunt report.
Good luck and shoot straight.

On to what I believe you really meant...

Any thoughts of Roan or Tsessebe?
Both worthy and wily antelope that make for a good stalk.

Edit - apologies @mark-hunter , I didn't see that you already mentioned Roan.

It’s a great list especially Oryx and caracal

For both of the wildebeests two of us have already taken really good ones so they arent a concern for us this trip. The newbie to africa the blue wildebeest is next on his list of budget allows when we there.

Pretty much same goes for impala.

Burchell zebra - eh we both took them already and in my opinion if you in Namibia you should be after the mtn/hartmans zebra not the burchells.

We know caracal will be tough very tough pieter has a plan for us and i know calling is one part of plan

When @billc and his son dakota meet with us in camp after their RSA part in Natal. They are going for klippies and Roan along with whatever else they seem to want plus whatever crazy horned thing they see.

Heres a pic of an eland that a client passed up on last week as it wasnt in the budget. Man he’s impressive!

Game still seems to be healthy from drought conditions. Though the ground is oh so very dry! Need to hold out a few more months and get some rain!

My thoughts exactly. I am headed to central Namibia in June 2020 with the primary target being an Eland bull just like that one!

I did it less than ten days ago. It was a luxury hunt outside of my package if time permitted. Fortunately it did.
Involved some steep climbs and descents, a missed shot, hanging over the edge of cliffs to take the shots, some amazing spotting and stalking by the professionals, the first time I had actually laid eyes on a klipspringer in my life, and ultimately a successful hunt that will live long in the memory.

Fun hunt, but I'm saying that from a guides perspective, never hunted one for myself. They are quite pricey in relation to other animals because each farm/ranch/land-unit/concession only gets 2 tags per year from the government irrespective of how large the area is, and thus its better to book them in advance, unless your outfitter has an un-used tag but it must be on YOUR permit as well, so they will need to know your intention too hunt one in advance. They are quite common through most of the rocky west of the country even down into the extreme desert areas. I'd avoid high velocity soft bullets and rather go with a .22-class rifle or most guys whack them with a .375 solid, as they have very loose adhering fur which tends to pillow out over the rocks upon exit, and your taxidermist needs to do some serious stitching. But a fun hunt in the mountains and rocks.

Have you thought about giraffe?

Mountain reedbuck, blue vervet monkey, gennet cat, african wildcat, porcupine, and aardwolf.

Was under thee impression that gennet wildcat and porcupine you couldnt get permits for in Namibia? Am i mistaken?
