THE KING

I'm curious. Of ALL the things in the world worth lying about , you think a 40 year old guy would lie about his gun holding ONE extra round ?
I neither consider you a liar nor one "with a likable tendency for exaggeration." You have instead a tendency to mention that you have a seven shot capacity in your .375 over several threads. So in my short time on the forum, I have come to acquaint you as the man with the seven shot gun. I think it's great. I wish I had a ten shot .375. Not to specifically out do anyone, but I would have little need for spare ammunition to be carried on my person and there would be little I could not take down with it. Especially were it foolish enough to charge.

Ohhhh. My apologies :p I thought you thought l was lying . I never said no to more rounds. When you're getting feral hogs off your land and your friend's lands , those extra rounds help big time . One round isn't much . But l believe every little bit helps :) I only acquired that gun recently , and only took 6 pigs with it.
But l used to use a 5 shot Winchester Model 70 in .375 HH Magnum before. Feral Hogs is Texas are mean aggressive critters .
The scientific answer for the 7 shot mystery is this : It's meant to hold 6 without needing to slip the extractor over the rim of the last Cartridge. Some genius at the BRNO factory probably figured out that by inletting the Magazine floor plate a little deeper in the stock , you could fit in one more round. I know of 9 ZKK- 602 rifles across the internet which happens to have this " Condition " . Anyway , lucky me :D I ain't selling this one ever !

BTW , Peter Hambrusch will happily build you a Mega Magnum .375 HH Magnum rifle with a 10 shot detachable Magazine :)

:confused:o_O

Now I am confused......
Sorry ,IvW . A member called One Day explained it to me in a previous thread . Here , we are. You commented on that Thread too :) . You can make better sense of it than l can .

The magazine floor plate is the flat piece in front of the trigger guard, how on earth do we inlet that further into the stock?

This rifle pictured has a stock standard floor plate.

Have you checked as I mentioned before on the magazine follower if it has 375 H&H stamped on it?

Oh , yeah. I definitely did. It does NOT have .375 HH Magnum stamped on it. But l have been shooting it for 2 weeks now. It feeds properly :/

This video shows that clearly I'm not the only one who's BRNO ZKK - 602 holds 7 rounds .
Occasionally 7 Shot Brno's do appear for sale online . It has something to do with the Magazine floor plate being inletted into the stock.

How do you know this is in fact a 375H&H to start with??

Then it is not an original 375 H&H ZKK 602 magazine follower and may be an aftermarket fitment which also may have a different spring allowing for a bit more space in the mag as the rifles magazine plate is standard.

Ha ! Mysery solved :D Thanks , IvW !
If you got an aftermarket fitment , that means you can load 5 rounds in your .500 Jeff , right ?

If I need so many shots with the 500 Jeff I will stop hunting......one is enough...

I mentioned before do not always believe what you hear or read.....jf the caption said 505 Gibbs??
But IvW . Everybody knows that BRNO never made any ZKK - 602s in .505 Gibbs.
Only .375 HH Magnum , .458 Win Mag and .358 Norma Mag . Every other one l have ever seen was a rebarrel or a custom job , like my .350 Rigby Magnum and your .500 Jeffery

Recoil's that bad , huh. I can relate. I can't get off more than 11 shots from a .505 Gibbs without losing concentration.

I keep reading replies stating the 404 or 416 Rigby can provide the same attributes as the 375 H&H. This is simply not true. They are both wonderful rounds no doubt! But neither provide the versatility of the KING. Wouldn't you feel a bit silly using a rifle that fires 350-450 grain bullets, with a very healthy dose of recoil, at an Impala at 400 yards? The 375 is not the best rifle for this application either, but it's a huge step in the right direction.
I think if we factor in rifle size and weight, bullet selection, ammo availability, and recoil, we could never put the 404 or 416 in the same class as the 375, when it comes to versatility.

That was not the point....never mind...

They where made in more calibers than what you mentioned...

On the other end Hoss on the front side, where the bullet connects, not the back.....
