Terms I am tired of hearing

Oh and "that bullet will cut meat."

What does that even mean??? I can see it now while being served a steak....

Waiter: Sir would you like a steak knife?

Hunter: Hell no! I have a .375 H&H that cuts meat! Ima just gonna use it!
I’ve seen a 375 do it man!:Finger: However they are not allowed in most dinning establishments that I am familiar with.

Gee Royal that’s one of my favorite terms as well as dead right there @BnC 04 . But I did not use a pill to harvest “Black Death”, when I was cutting meat with a 416 ....which was before I got a two pipe. And I swear that the second shot was not a bit too high nor was it a bit far back.:D
@Wheels i do hope to get Mr Spots one day! :sneaky: But not with the two Pipe!

I guess each to his own in terms of descriptive phrases fellas! Smile guys.....we live in a great country!

Great counter punch. (y)

Awesome Charlie! You literally made me spit my whiskey on myself!

The terms "it tastes like chicken" and "ribeye of the sky" come to mind nothing ever seems to taste this way when they are described like this.

I can’t wait to start my BVC hunt report! Keep em coming guys! Especially can’t wait to put the part about the buffalo looking at me like I owed him money! Lmfao. Only one I’ve ever had do that was my ex wife and my banker!

If you can fit all the "Terms I am tired of hearing" into your hunting report. Then I will buy you lunch at DSC.

I hope I will be owing you a lunch.(y)

I'm glad dinner was hours ago.

Wow Charlie......that was authentic high quality smart ass stuff there, I'm impressed!

Many of those mentioned are bad but one of the worst for me is "the front shoulder".
Either you hit him in the shoulder/shoulders or you didn't, with the alternatve end of the animal having a different designation but most certainly not the back shoulders.

Agree on “node”. Or anything to do with Quickload. Among reloaders, specifically the internet gurus in SA, you are sure to blow yourself up if you don’t use QL. Never new I needed a laptop to “load pills” that fit in the clip, shoot MOA, and hit the boiler room to harvest a Dagga Boy DRT!

Jack O’Connor commented on the same preasure nonsense in the 70s already in the Speer reloading manual.

“Harvest” - really? You’re not picking mealies out of a maize field.
You’re hunting, don’t be scared of the word.

“It was dead but didn’t know it” - it’s not dead till it’s dead.

“DRT” - :A Bang Head:

“Dagga Boy” - It’s not a dagga boy when it’s in a herd.

“It looked at me like I owed it money” - only the farm owner does that when you start packing without paying your bill.

“Minute of Buffalo” - nah mate, you’re just shooting shit!

Just a few... :D

"Smoked him/her/it".

Er...... I don't think you did.

You shot him/her/it.

I have no idea why shooting something means you smoked it.
It's a really annoying cliche that is just plain wrong. Why try to make it sound better than it is and add some misplaced machismo.

Best fire a warning shot first!

Cant wait to see how many ways C. Austin can use "smoke him." My wife especially hates that one-appreciate your sense of humor, hoped this thread would meander that direction.
Military buddy of mine and I were discussing MOA a week or so ago. Can't remember what kind of large weapon he shoots but his take was that moa for them meant at 23 miles you could hit a car or near enough to disable it, but for HIS crew, moa meant putting the explosive shell inside the window of the car at 23 miles!

Living life like a lion for 1 day is better than living life like a jackal for 100 years.
