Am looking to standardize on a factory load for my Mauser 9.3x62. Shot a number of different rounds and all have been pretty good, though not stellar, on groupings. Have been debating on what grain to use and think I'm going to stick with the 286 which is the 9.3x62 default. Looking at the Norma American PH ammo and wondering if anyone has any experience with these they could share? It's getting very good reviews, but always take those with a bit of grain of salt on sales sites. Price per round isn't bad either. Thanks!!

I can't speak for these rounds specifically but I use Norma ammunition exclusively.
I use 100gr soft points in my .243 and 180gr Oryx in my 30-06 and will be taking 300gr Oryx to Namibia next week for my .375.
I can't speak highly enough of Norma ammunition and have no reason to use anything else.
Accurate and dependable. I have never lost an animal using this brand.
I have used Hornady and my experience was not good.
Everything I've hit with a Norma bullet has been dead with one shot.
I recommend trying them.

Same as @Adrian, never used in the 9.3 but have used in my 30-06 and the wife's 270 Win with excellent results.

I used what I suspect is the same ammo, Norma Oryx 286gr, only packaged differently I think. (International packaging, no mention of any American PH's on my box) Anyway, it worked really good, always shot well in my rifle, and had great performance on all the game I used it on. It is my go-to factory load.

Thanks everyone!!! GREATLY appreciate the feedback. Based on everything I've read, your comments, and the reasonable pricing, think I'll go with the Norma. Thanks again!!

I use the following factory loaded bullets in my .375 HH Magnum Winchester Model 70 and BRNO ZKK - 602 :
Swift A Frames
Nosler 300 grain Monolithic Meplat Solids
Norma 300 Grain Monolithic round nose solids
Kynoch 300 grain Full metal Jacket round nose solids .
The Norma Ammunition is VERY , VERY good. My only little disappointment is that their 300 grain monolithic solids have a round nose as opposed to a meplat. But they are very , very good. I used one of these Norma 300 grain Monolithic solids on a grizzly bear. It pole axed him with a body shot ( Anyone who has shot bears will know that using head shots on them is the trickiest thing in the world. They have a brain the size of a white Castle Slider ).
A close friend of mine in Austria uses a Steyr Rifle in 9.3 × 62 for Stag and Wild boar. He uses Norma ammunition exclusively and he has never reported a problem. Infact , l even met him this year on my annual Europe trip just month.

My cz550 fs shoots the 286gr loadings exceptionally well. I have attempted to tested them on whitetail but haven’t been lucky enough to get a shot as of yet but i suspect they will perform wonderfully. I have yet to try the 232gr loadings but I assume they will perform well. I have yet to have a gun in my collection that won’t shoot the Norma American PH line well. My tikka t3(very picky with ammo) in 30-06 will shoot the Norma 180gr loads into 1/2” or less at 100 yards if I do my part. It appears to be very high quality consistent ammunition in my experience.

@Fastrig, site sponsor Safariammo.net also carries Norma 9.3X62mm ammo, as well as the Geco brand in 9.3X62mm. One hiccup is you have to look in their 8X57mmJS listings to fing the Geco 9.3X62mm ammo loaded with the 255 grain Plus projectile, but since you're using 286 grain loads, that shouldn't affect you. I had a very good experience with my recent order from Safariammo.net FWIW.

Here's the link to receive a 20% off discount code on first orders from AH members linked from the Safariammo.net banner ad here, for your consideration. Might not beat Midway USA's price though, Midway USA often has a coupon code for free shipping on orders $49+.
