Grabbed one on ebay for $40. Here's the problem with out of print books, guys. There are book speculators on the web. The cunning ones even own multiple sites/domains.
They'll offer a book at a crazy price. Say, $750 for the above book. Then same seller uses another site under another name (Same picture of actual book being sold!) and offers it for $300, again for $200. They're hoping a sucker pays $750, or even someone desperate pays $200.
Then the friendly eBayer sees the book offered for $750 and $200 and figures, I want to sell this book of mine, I'll ask $150 for it! And they sit, and they languish, and they sit, and they languish.
Picked it up for $40.
Last MSRP was $40. 8 years ago they liquidated them for $13. Good material. Grateful to have a working copy. Bitter at the book-fixers on the Net . For amusement purposes, go look for ANY africa safari book on Abe Books and sort by price. In-print books that sell on amazon for $20 will have someone asking $300.
Geeze the net is stupid sometimes.
