*Scope Added To Package!* Beautiful Custom AHR Ruger RSM .458 Lott For Sale

This beauty is worth another look!...

Final price drop: $3,000 shipped to your FFL. Again, this includes the beautiful, full-custom rifle built by Wayne at American Hunting Rifles (who should need no introduction), a spare factory stock, and other spare parts as listed in quote from original post below. The bedding job is ROCK solid, there's a second crossbolt installed in stock, the finish is completely rust-proof, there's a removable mercury brake and Kick-EEZ pad installed, and it's a great shooter! Grab this awesome Lott and take it after DG!
In addition to the complete, ready-to-install spare stock, I have a number of other Ruger spare parts that will be included (full set of spare action/bottom metal screws, recoil plate, crossbolt, etc.), which I ordered from Numrich (that’s how my mind works with a rifle that’s no longer produced…I wanted spares, “just in case”).

Shuter,
Great rifle at a very fair price! I just need to find someone here on AH from Colorado who would let me shoot their Lott, before I would take that caliber plunge! I’ll pay for the ammo?

This one's very shootable, between the rifle's standard weight, the (removable) mercury recoil reducer in the buttstock, and the super cushy Kick-EEZ pad.

As has been said at that weight and with a recoil reducer etc I dount you will have a problem shooting it....I would be making it lighter if I had it :D...don't think too much its a lovely rifle from those photos...

CEH, if you reload you can always load it like your 458WM if you dislike the full power loads.
Yes I could reload it down to the .458 WM velocities, or just shoot .458 WMs out of it ? BUT, with the Ruger having a 22” barrel, now I’m guessing, the Lott wouldn’t have much more velocity with the same bullet weight as my 25” barreled CZ in .458 WM? I’m perplexed now?

I’ve read of several guys using the Lott with a 22 inch barrel with no complaints.
Good point. However, if the recoil is “stiffer” when shooting a Lott with a 22” barrel for the same ( or close) velocity as a WM in a 25” barrel, what’s the upside to having the Lott, other than being able to use longer (heavier) bullets? But, the Lott uses a magnum action which increases the weight of the rifle? These are all moot points anyway, as I still want to shoot a Lott before I buy one. I felt I could handle the recoil of the WM, and I thought there would be more recoil than I have experienced when shooting it, but the recoil is very tolerable to ME. I actually really enjoy shooting about six rounds from the offhand position using a sling during one shooting session. The weight of my CZ (no scope yet) has not been a factor in holding the rifle steady through six rounds. I have shot from the bench using a bipod, but I’d rather shoot offhand at fifty yards. But the Lott and it’s history is still intriguing to me ( the WM should have been the Lott design from it’s origin). But, shuter is selling a great Ruger AHR customized Lott at a very fair price! I can’t believe someone here on AH didn’t buy it from the get go!

Incorrect...My Ruger .458 Lott has a 24" barrel. As far as I know, every RSM ever made, regardless of caliber, had a 24" barrel.

As I mention above, this Ruger has a 24" (not 22") barrel, and I'd be surprised if the recoil is any worse than a typical .458 WM with the Graco mercury recoil reducer installed. This setup also gives you the flexibility to remove the reducer and lower the weight by a pound, if you so choose.

I’d love to have that rifle. Been wanting one for a long time I just don’t have the extra cash at the moment. Never fails, when I have it I never see offers like this but when I don’t stuff like this pops up.
What you have is probably the best 458 Lott one could find anywhere. If I just hadn’t paid for my LASIK procedure I’d snatched it up.

Best I could offer is a trade for an over/under Sabatti Jaguar gold in 12 Ga and an all inclusive hog hunt for 2 days/3 nights.

Appreciate the offer, but I'm only looking to sell the rifle. Thank you though; the hunt sounds fun!

I’m in the same boat as gizmo, it’s a lovely rifle I wish I could own, but sadly I can’t at this time. I wish you luck on your sale, and don’t understand why it hasn’t yet.

Seems like I see a business opportunity....AHRifleCash.com. :)

Funding shooting sickness, one rifle at a time!

But who would want to make money on another man's rifle sickness? Not me!

C'mon guys....sometimes you need to get creative to make deals happen!!

This is too nice a rifle to still be sitting here!

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
