Just curious, anybody out there loading 300 Gr. Speer Hot Cores in their 375 H&H? I'm not considering using them for hunting (at the moment) but I'm thinking they should be good enough for target practice. Your thoughts please.

My bad, I saw some lighter weight Hot Cores and "assumed" they made a 300 Gr. bullet as well. I should have checked into this further, we all know what "assume" does. Only this time it was only me. Maybe I should just ask the question differently. What bullets do you 375 H&H re-loaders use for target practice?

Speer makes a 270 boat tail bullet which is pretty economical. I plan on buying some for practice in the near future, but have not tried any yet so can’t comment there.

I've got a bunch of PPU 270 g and 300 g. They shoot pretty good and are reasonably priced.

Due to practicing for my 2020 Mixed Bag Botswana Safari ( which will include a Cape Buffalo ) , l am currently practicing with 300 grain Cutting Edge Monolithic meplat brass Solids .
If it performs on Buffalo as well as it does on my ranch fence , l will soon abandon full metal jacket bullets completely except in my .350 Rigby Magnum ZKK -602 :)

This is factory stuff I got online from one of the ammo outfits.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
