Prayers for El Paso and Dayton

Yesterday was a tragic day. Mass shootings in Texas and Ohio. We all need to pray for the families of those hurt by these events.
Why do people do this to each other? I heard the Lt Governor of Texas say that, I’m paraphrasing: We have always had guns, we’ve always had evil. But this was just a video game for these people. We’ve taken God out of schools and replaced it with Call to Duty.
 
Prayers for all families affected by this evil! No doubt in my mind its pure evil! He's right, we've always had guns. When I was in school we had gun racks in our trucks, with guns in them at school and nothing ever happened! Lack of respect for the sanctity of human life! Too many people are tricked by satan and dont know the Lord our savior Jesus Christ.. plain and simple!

Lord comfort those hurting and wrap your loving arms around all today!!!!!!!!!!!
 
This has nothing to do with the availability of guns.....guns were always present, in the US and in Europe...if no guns they would have used (stolen) explosives or trucks..

The million dollar question is why young men go bananas like this....they are school-dropouts or other kinds of social misfits....for whatever reason..

Our very own Breivik fits the description....a young man who never made it....who sought refuge in hatred on the internet and ended up planning a massacre for years..

I agree that taking God out of schools may be a contributing factor to this madness..
 
Another issue (and I agree with all the above) is the ready availability of pot and synthetic variants for the Juls and electronic cigarettes. I bet if we were given the toxicology findings of the criminals involved we would be astounded by the correlation of drugs and crimes, particularly the violent ones...Chicago and other big crime areas and even the small towns would tell you pot is a part of or drives the most crime in their towns. Yet politicians like Mayor Pete et al want to say it’s white nationalist terrorism and the NRA...
Prayers for our country...we are raising a generation (or 2) of children that have no value of life. May God bless those involved and bring about heart change in our homes and country.
 
Good Lord, my heart aches for the families. As Slam said the availability of all the dope is a factor. Most of these deviants have a mental problem and when someone says "No" they can't handle it, get doped up and go on a rampage. I don't think guns enter into it that much and gun control does absolutely nothing to alleviate the problem. If not guns, then something else. I suppose arming everyone is one way to stop or diminish this foolishness but we all know that will never happen. There are too many loony lefty lunatics and politicians who are hell bent on destroying this country and all the constitutional tenets it was founded upon.

When you stop and think about this incident, it sounds like a two pronged terrorist attack. I doubt two idiots would pull the same stunt at the same time in two different cities. I think there had to be some coordination between the two.
 
I think it's a mental illness issue. If this young man got help and got to have an environment where he could get his inner demons out of his system, this wouldn't have happened. As a young man myself, I'm extremely lucky to have a long family and friends.

Very true and sadly ignored.
 
Replace parenting and discipline with prescribed drugs. Make the rule of the land everything is OK as long as you are happy. Teach our young to stand up and lash out, don’t just sit there and take it. Remove the sanctity of life and replace it with if you don’t want it, abort it. And our country, the US, still debates and wonders why these tragedies become all too frequent. Mixed messages for sure.

While it would be hard to say pot doesnt contribute to crime (drug deals gone bad and dealers fighting for turf) I do not think pot is responsible at all for mass shootings. Hell some doctors say that alcohol is worse for you than pot is. What I find weird is how most of these shootings start around election times/right after elections.
