I've had this idea to add to my trophy room. A wood plaque in the shape of Africa with a wildlife scene and maybe an Afrikaans saying as well. Hand carved or maybe even laser engraved would be fine. I've looked around on the internet and can't quite find what I am looking for. I thought maybe someone on this site may have run across something or someone who could help me. Thank you!
 
I can help you and we could come up with something together be willing to give it a shot anyway.
 
They do exist. There was a guy at DSC one year that was working on a 3D carving in basswood, I do not remember his name or what state he was from. He'd take a drawing of a client's picture or other concept and turn it into a 3D carving in a block of wood. They are expensive!

What you looking for? My CNC machine will be here next month we'll be doing in house after then . Can do anything you want now or then . Send me a pic .
Here in one we can have done or can do in house shortly.
We have found a need in our shop for our bases we make

Some real artists here. I would want the wood to be an African native species. Maybe even a little crude and hand carved would be nice. Lambert................good luck in getting wood..............................FWB
