She must have insulted the beast in some fashion otherwise it would not have lashed out. Perhaps it’s feelings got hurt, because you know they are feeling animals, and felt the girl needed to be chastised as her parents were incapable of doing so. Thank goodness the elephant demonstrated restraint in its actions and will be universally praised by all good tree hugging individuals.
