Hi. New here. I would love to hunt buffalo in Africa....that may come true someday.

For now, I would like to get a rifle fit for that and really have fun getting to know it.

I am also a new member but have lurked for a number of years. Booked my first Africa hunt for June of next year. The information that our members have and give is as they say priceless. I am sure a Africa hunt for you will be sooner than later. By the way I hunt both deer and turkey in your state.

Thank you, I also added a M70 in 375 this week and Zeiss scope. I’ll have this year to practice and get acquainted. Though my M70 270WSM would be fine but wanted to move up a little in bore size.

Welcome aboard. What caliber were you thinking about for your "Buff" rifle? Other than targets, what would you use it for in the States? Just curious. On AH no one ever has to worry about expressing a "need" or a "want" to have a bigger rifle. The reason being we all have the same malady. What and where have you hunted in the States?
