Who ever might have grass enough to buy and feed them might just help benefit the parks immensely.

Waterberg has very large buffalo - prices to hunt there are quite high. On top of the cost of 'purchase' it seems like it would be quite expensive to capture and transport. Then, do they go into high fence to protect them?
 
Bad situation this drought!
 
Just back from Namibia. From what I have seen and heard the drought is as bad or worse than we have had here in Australia. All the feed seems to be imported from other countries, not cheap or sustainable. It appears that most remaining cattle properties are selling off all live stock.

Certainly is bad.
 
My outfitters in '13 and '16 are just south of Etosha NP and having a tough go this year. They had rabies hit the kudu and the drought has them selling and transporting gemsbok elsewhere. Hope things snaps out of it.
 
Still managed to bring Hunting into it........
