Images with excellent colour fidelity and sharpness with maximum contrast; fast and precise adjustment thanks to their dual-focus system; precise adaptation to any viewing situation and maximum zoom flexibility: this is what sets the Leica APO-Televid spotting scopes apart. The compact, lightweight APO-Televid 65 is particularly suitable as an optical companion for long treks and gives detailed insights. With their large front lens diameter, the APO-Televid 82 models offer detailed, high-contrast images even in unfavourable lighting conditions and when the light fades away, making them particularly suitable for digiscoping.

Perfection In Glass
For superior colour fidelity and maximum contrast

Fluoride lenses and the APO-chromatic lens system enable very low dispersion, excellent colour fidelity and very low colour fringing.

The APO-Televid range meets the highest standards of spotting scopes. Maximum contrast, high transmission and excellent colour fidelity come together in perfect harmony. In combination with the APO-chromatic lens system, the spotting scopes guarantee precise insight into your object of interest – with large magnifications – when the light fades away, in heat haze or in any other unvavourable viewing situations.

Compact And Resistant
Prepared for any situation

Their short build makes the Leica spotting scopes discreet tour companions. If you find that impressive, you will be even more overwhelmed by their interior: high-performance optics, perfectly protected against environmental impacts combined with easy handling.

Whether being used in wind and rain at the seaside, arctic temperatures or dry desert climate, the spotting scopes are dust-proof and extremely robust. The water and dirt repellent AquaDura® coating guarantees clear views, even when rain rolls off the front lens. Nitrogen filling also prevents internal fogging, giving you spectacular, clear viewing experiences in any situation.

Ever-ready Case For Apo Televid 82 W
Ideal in form and function

Leica-Spektivcover-Apo-Televid-82-W-1-Landscape_teaser-480x320.png

Ever-ready Case for Apo Televid 82 W

The new neoprene cover for the Leica APO Televid 82 W spotting scopes fits securely around the body of the spotting scope. The durable neoprene protects the optics against impacts and guarantees comfortable handling. The long opening at the centre of the bag allows a smooth rotation of the mounted spotting scope along the longitudinal axis. For longer transportation the carrying strap can be fixed to the spotting scope bag. To prevent the carrying strap from swinging in the wind, it can be easily taken off again. The covers for front lens, eyepiece and focusing barrel are made of robust Cordura. Eyepiece as well as front lens are the most exposed parts of the spotting scope. Thanks to the Cordura covers they are protected against impacts, scratches from thorns and rough terrain. With additional buttons both covers can be fixed to the spotting scope to prevent them from swinging in the wind.

Even closer to the special moment

SPORT-OPTICS-EQUIPMENT-EXTENDER-18_teaser-960x640.png

Get closer than ever before

When you don’t want to miss any of nature’s fascinating details, you need to get closer. That is why Leica has developed the Extender 1.8x for Leica APO-Televid spotting scopes (angled viewing). In combination with the Leica Eyepiece, it allows 45- up to 90-fold magnification. With this unprecedented expansion of the zoom range, wildlife, nature and astronomical observations as well as digiscoping become an even greater pleasure. An integrated, automatic lock on the bayonet connector allows quick and easy attachment of the extender between the spotting scope and eyepiece. Thus, the Leica APO Televid can then be adapted to all applications in no time and becomes even more versatile.

Digital Adapter X1. X2. X-e
Enhancing the versatility of the Leica Spotting Scopes

This small, high-quality adapter is perfectly matched to the optical properties of both the X1, X2 and X-E cameras and the APO-Televid scope. It ensures a safe and precise connection between camera and scope, as well as easy handling.

Combining a Leica X (Typ 113) with the fitting Leica Digiscoping Adapter for Leica X (Typ 113), the Leica APO-Televid spotting scopes 82 or Leica APO-Televid spotting scopes 82 and the Leica eyepieces you will receive a variable focal length between 850 mm and 3.100 mm. No other connection between a spotting scope and a camera with high quality sensor is so stable and at same time so flexible so easy in its handling. With a light intensity of 1.7 and the approved big APS-C-Sensor you will get images richer in contrast, brightness and depth. Even when the weather and light conditions are bad and you have to choose a higher ISO. New for the Leica X (Typ 113) is the video-function, which provides you also the possibility to digiscope brilliant films in MP4-Format.

IT´S BACK AGAIN! The popular Leica APO-Televid 65 spotting scope is now available again. The compact and lightweight Leica APO-Televid 65 can be used wherever exact reproduction of detail is important. Color brilliance, contrast, and sharpness are a must, for example, when identifying animal species. The compact design makes the Leica APO-Televid 65 ideal for long and demanding hikes in the mountains, or for professional expeditions under any conditions.

I own the 82mm version of this spotting scope. My son recently purchased a 100mm Takahashi telescope and a Televue Ethos eyepiece for astronomy (this combination is considered one of the best for astronomy). Comparing the two side by side at 40x; the Leica spotting scope gives up very little in optical quality to the Takahashi. I continue to be very impressed with the build quality and the optical quality of my Leica Televid.

Leica’s APO-Televid spotting scopes, you’ll enjoy the minutest details in razor-sharp focus. The fluoride lenses and the apochromatic system ensure highest contrasts, optimum colour neutrality and minimal colour fringing. These scopes offer the widest possible field of view over the entire magnification range, along with crisply detailed resolution and maximum stray-light suppression. In addition, the proven Leica dual-focus system allows two different focusing ratios: the rapid focusing required for moving objects, as well as the fine, precise focusing that digiscoping demands. Ideal for intensifying all of your viewing experiences, even those from a great distance.
