Red Stag Hunting

This program takes place in our own hunting ground in the Province of La Pampa. This field has 15,000 hectares of century-old scrublands where the red stag lives among wild boars, pumas and different types of rams. In this area, animals wander wild and free in their natural environment.

No doubt this is one of the most exciting hunts you can do in Argentina, and it is quite common hunters want to harvest more than one red stag trophy.

The staking and hunt take place very early in the morning, before dawn. Strategically located we will listen the stags bellow. Once dawn breaks in, we approach to the animal and assess its conditions to determine if it is a worthy trophy. Close to noon we return to the lodge to enjoy a hearty meal, rest for only a while, and start the ritual once again in the afternoon.

Hunting Area:
The hunt is performed at the Province of La Pampa, about 372 miles distant from Buenos Aires city. As one of the most arid and wild scenarios of Argentina, this is the ideal hunting area for these trophies. These animals made La Pampa their natural habitat at the beginning of the century when the first ones were brought in.

Some of those Stags are managed stags but most of them are free range, on those the answer will be yes!

It´s possible to hunt them with bow! We normally would stalk the stags and use blinds to hunt them with the bow.

Think you are responding to the wrong post. I do not use a bow any longer.

Awesome! Over the past year I’ve been transitioning from my rifle to bow for stalks. It’s much harder, but very rewarding! Look forward to future conversations about this!

Looking at taking dad along with me! Great family time on hunting trips. @Jfet

If you don't post prices many write the hunt off believing it must be very expensive.
