Very nice offer for father/son hunt.Great to see outfitters trying to help with getting others into hunting. Those darn kids make the safari cost go up quick but so worth it.Will be keeping this place in mind for the future for sure.welcome to the site

Very nice offer! Excellent chance to hunt Kalahari.

These are some really nice offers. Looks like South African Airlines express will be offering flights from SA to Maun starting in June 2012. Could make flights a little more affordable.

That's good news.

Since you have non trophy on offer for youngsters what might you consider for someone recently diagnosed with lukemia. my uncle is 68 years old and I want to send him and his wife on a 2x1 hunt in africa somewhere. the $6500 package seems reasonable and they could possibly share the animals. I have no idea what I'm looking for but when I find a good deal I'm going to start thinking about sending them a little harder. BTW he should live at least 3 more years but I still want to send him asap just in case.

Thanks Gentlemen - it really is a good package deal, I hope some of the guys on the forum take up the opportunity to come and experience a fantastic Safari with us.

RickB - 100% we are definitely looking forward to having a new carrier operating into and out of Maun, some healthy competition can only be good for Bots Air.

Tap - Sorry to hear about your uncles recent diagnosis - I will send you a pm and see if we can work something out for him

Speaking of which. Jason, who flies into Maun now? Air Namibia, Air Bots, ?

What does it cost these days to fly from Joberg to Maun?

TAP I have a good friend that is an outfiter in SA that may be able to help you with your Uncle

Thanks Brickburn the little lady and I will in SA the month of Audust and my guy is trying to work out an Ele hunt for the both of us while we are there

500.00 to 600.00 is that with SA air

The country is landlocked, consisting of a vast plateau in southern Africa, therefore flights to Botswana are the best way to enter the country, usually via regional hubs like Johannesburg (South Africa), Windhoek (Namibia) or Harare (Zimbabwe) from where it is possible to take onward flights to Botswana, landing at capital, Gaberone, or Maun.

between 500 and 600 hundred dollars on air botswana

500.00 to 600.00 is that with SA air

Air Namibia and Air Botswana.
I did not see any selections available for SAA.
As Rick said its coming or proposed.

SAA, Bots Air and Namibian Airways all do JHB - Maun at the moment, all roughly the same price - $600 odd. An alternative option to get to Kanana is fly USA-Europe-Windhoek. Air Namibia operates directly to windhoek via either London (Gatwick) and Frankfurt (Germany). Windhoek is 500km (about 200km futher then Maun) and we would include that transfer in the above package price as an alternative to Maun. Firearm import permits for Namibia are relatively straight forward. If travelling with firearms just seems like a pain in the but then we have a number of very good rifles available at Kanana that can be used for the hunt at no extra charge.

I am pretty booked up this year but would like to know if you plan on changing the price for next year? I am more interested in a daily rate and trophy fee hunt than a package. How late in the year do you hunt? Feel free to PM me. Thanks, Jim

jaustin - The rates we have on our website will be the same for the 2013 season. We can hunt all year if we want to as we're private land, however, I wouldn't suggest coming out to hunt here later then late October early November as it starts getting seriously hot here during the summer. please let me know if you need any additional information. We will be at ome of the hunting shows in Jan 2013 as well - SCI Reno we will be in booth 2030 - as soon as I have booth number confirmation for the other shows I will put them up on the forum.

Chat soon

Thanks for the reply Jason,
I'll be at the Dallas show if the dates don't conflict with a mountian lion hunt I have booked.

I looked at your website and pricing says you have lots of oryx, kudu, and eland but trophy pics suggest that you don't have many as there are few trophy photos. Can you elaborate a little more on the size of your herds and the probability of taking a 55" or better kudu, 38" or better gemsbuck bull, and a large bodied eland with a big duelap and blue hide?

Thanks a lot and this is a really attractive offer. That combined with the generosity is really pushing me your direction.
