Would you like a Cigar?

Big storm ripped through tucson at about 7:00. Wind was so bad it snuffed out the flames on my BBQ.

Is that a Corona size?

Getting thunder here now. Man I wish I could keep those sizes memorized. It's about the diameter of your ring finger and maybe 5 - 5 1/2" long.

Started off with the Cubans...cohoba robustos / WIDE Churchill's etc.
Now, more into the Nicaraguan brands...Alec Bradley, Nubb, etc.
Great to sit around the fire after a day's hunt with a nice cigar and single malt!!!

A cigar with a single malt (something not too peaty from Speyside) or a good Tawny port is wonderful in the right company

Scrummy

I'm sitting in the Cigar lounge, at Anthony's Cigar Emporium, enjoying a, My Father Le Bijou 1922. Excellent smoke.
I stopped in to pick up some sticks for next week, and sat around for a chat with some regulars who come in.

Well, got all the Mother’s Day obligations completed. Both sons, 19 & 25, did wonderfully with Mom only having to send 9 reminder text starting two weeks ago. I decided to let them cast their own fate, but they did well. So I am on the porch with a nice Cuban Partagas Petite Corona and a cup of Joe. At this moment, it is a fabulous Mother’s Day! So Happy Mother’s Day out there to all you Mom’s, or for the hunters and gathers, you mothers.

I'm in the middle of a , Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro. 7 x 50 Churchill. Good smoke, with an excellent price point.

Yes sir, the Rocky 2003, one of my favorites

Love the Olivas too. Nice change of pace.

When I hit the Cigar shop, I always find myself drawn to the Oliva section. The Serie V, is a great smoke.

My dad chewed cigars for 50 years after he quit smoking them. Our family called it his pacifier. He was fondly known around town as The White Owl Kid.

Extremely disappointed in this Rocky Patel Vintage 2003. The caps came off when I cut it, and the wrapper is cracking, and unravelling. There is also a plug in the cigar causing a bad draw. Sucks when you spend $10 on a stick with problems.

Not a big Rocky fan. Find an occasional good smoke, but I have had quality issues with several different sizes and just easier to stay away.

Unlike the El Rey Del Mundo I am sneaking a smoke on outside a wedding reception. Man’s gotta do what a mans gotta do.

I'm taking the Rocky back to the cigar shop, to see if I can get a refund. Smoked about 25% of it, and had to put it out. The Cigar was disintegrating. The flavor was good.

I purchashed 3 Rocky Patel Cigars on Friday. 2 of the 3 were disappointing. The Edge Maduro, was like trying to suck Jello through a straw. The blend and flavors were decent, but the cigar construction was not. I doubt I will purchase any Rocky Patels in the future. I expect more for my money.

Rocky’s have been hit or miss in the quality department for the last few years..

I love the flavor of the 1990 and 1992 vintage sticks.. but stopped buying them a few years back... I got tired of wrappers blowing out, plugs, and caps coming off, etc...
