I am also not sure what you can get for it in SA. I think the value mentioned above is probably a fair value if it were here in the US. However, from what I have seen, it will not be worth that much in SA and it will probably take ~$2000+ US to ship, import, and pay duty on it to get it to the US. Also, you will need an export broker on your side to handle export and shipping.
I have done this before and it is doable but not cheap when all said and done.
That is a great old rifle. I would love to have it as a classic workhorse hunting rifle.
