Federal 375H&H Woodleigh Hydro Solids- sold out

I get it, I should reload...I know.
I don't have time for reloading, I have time to pull out my wallet and pay someone for their time.

I consider time my most precious commodity, and at this point in my life I'd rather spend it shooting instead of reloading.
I'm sure sometime in the future (when I'm retired) when I have more time I'll pick up reloading.
For now I'm at the mercy of suppliers.

Copper Creek does custom reloads. They are as good as hand loads. Give them a call I bet they can fix you up.

Thanks for sharing. Much of the big Federal Ammo has been out of stock for a while. I was having difficulty getting 375 H&H FP Trophy Bonded Bear Claws for a hunt last July

I've checked out Copper Creek and a few others as well.
For now I'm content with my Swift A Frames for a PG hunt at the end of this May.
The Woodleigh Hydros would be for a DG hunt in the "possible" future (maybe 2021 or 22).
That being said, the Federal option is also the least expensive, if not the most available.
I'll buy a box and see how it shoots in my CZ then make a decision.

Maybe contact Woodleigh direct
(Australia)
I order direct but not sure whether they can post to overseas
Getting the bullets is not the problem as they are available from a number of places here in the US.
The real issue is I don't reload and therefore I am dependent on others to do it for me.
I truly wish that Woodleigh would venture into loaded ammunition the way Swift did in 2016.

Norma loads Woodleigh and Federal has/will

Does Norma offer the Woodleigh Hydro in Australia?
In the US they offer the Soft Nose and FMJ's but not the Hydro.

Either way, I'm waiting until mid-June for Federal because I doubt you could send me a box.
Thanks for the info Doc.

They sell out 3 years at a go. I had to pay $200+ to get them. I have 4-5 boxes left but I doubt you’d want them for what I paid.
I appreciate the offer and I do not wish to deplete your supply (or pay what you did).

On another note, I'm waiting to see if anyone has personal experience with the Swift Break-Away Solids.
They look very similar to the Woodleigh Hydro, just don't know how they perform.
Not to mention that the Swifts are going for almost $170 a box...:A Blink:

You want swift -frames and woodleigh hydros, both loaded by federal premium. They regulate to the same POI relatively speaking.
That's kinda what I'm looking for, same POI or at least minute of buffalo accuracy at 50 yards for a soft and solid.
The Swift A-Frames I'm currently using (loaded by Swift) are giving excellent accuracy out beyond 100 yards.
Was thinking that maybe the Swift Break-Away Solids or Federal Hydros would be at least close to that.
If not, maybe go with Federal Trophy Bonded Sledgehammer, Norma Solid or Nosler Solid.
It will really come down to doing the same thing I did with the softs, buying a bunch of different stuff and see what works best.

What rifle are you using to get the same POI for Federal A-Frames and Hydros?

26” barreled mauser made my Cogswell & Harrison of London.

They are within 1/2” of each other past 150 yards. How accurate are the woodleigh hydros? Longest shot with that load in that gun was 345 yards on a bushbuck. (I knew the holdover)

That was with a 1-6x scope, more than sufficient for those distances.

Not sure how accurate the Woodleigh Hydros are...never shot them.
Always want what I can't have I suppose.

Thanks for the info.
