I regret not getting a better picture, I was feeling ill and had a huge list of urgent jobs to try to make a start on - including feeding a hungry dog with terrible breath, way overdue for fresh meat, as well as helping out some folks running low on food.

Good stalk, my first on new-burned country for the year. Got to fifty metres with the Mauser .300H&H and some quick shooting plus some insurance shots had him ready to help us out for food, and I went and thanked him after a careful approach checking for eye movement. The first bullet was my last TSX, followed by some factory Federals with little orange tips.

I was impressed by his scars, heaps of healed-up cuts and punctures, and a wonderfully-smashed-up working right horn tip.

Didn’t measure him, he would only score low nineties with our country / genetics. But it’s not about inches. One of the most magnificent, incredible old warrior bulls I saw had 82” horns - almost straight-out with the usual thinner bases - but old and gnarled.

Good bull. Congrats.

When you're looking for meat, horn size is of little importance. I'm betting the pup was licking it's chops and the hungry folks has smiles on their faces.

"Bad photo". o_O Indeed! That's what my old dad used to call "fishin' for compliments".

Nice buff nice picture, good job indeed.

Sorry guys, I thought it was bad because it was rushed and didn’t show the horns as well as I would like to.

But this bull definitely brought happiness to some good folks and dogs.

I'm glad you're such a dog lover - (y)
Great photo - great hunting.
Envy yourself.
If you still have the bullets and would you show us?
Greetings from Munich
