Hello,
I am a new member from Las Vegas, NV. I have never hunted in Africa before and plan to make my first trip to South Africa to hunt in 2020. Looking forward to hearing from the experienced hunters on this forum. From what I have read, there is a wealth of knowledge among the members here and I know I will learn a great deal.

Barton, welcome to AH! Yep there’s some gents on here that have been to Africa more years than I have left! Lots of excellent info particularly for first timers under the “Safari Guide” link. A good place to start!

Welcome aboard Barton. What species are you planning to hunt in 2020? Have you booked with an outfitter yet? Will you be taking your own rifles? If so what caliber? Spend some time going through the forums, there are lots of older posts and threads that contain valuable information for a "first timer."
