You know me. I can't spot Kudu to save my life!
 
8 plus what looked like a calf next to the lead one. But you said bachelor group, so unless he was babysitting for his sister, or was forced to take his little brother out with him, I think its 8 plus a shadow.
 
Well counting the legs and horns and dividing by 6 I come up with 7. Now if there was a woman in a bikini (or less) I would be much better...
