All,
My wife and I are planning our 20th anniversary trip and have always wanted to go to Africa. This forum has provided a wealth of information but the planning can be overwhelming so I am looking for some help.
We are looking to make a trip late August / early September 2019 if all things come together or summer of 2020 at the latest. We are looking at a 7 day safari split between 4 days hunting / 3 days touring or vice versa.
We would fly into Cape Town or Johannesburg, South Africa or Windhoek, Namibia.
I would like to hunt the following plains game: kudu, gemsbuck, blue wildebeest, impala.
For non-hunting activities, we are open to day / night game drives, visit a park with the Big Five, possibly visit the coast, fishing.

I understand not all can be accomplished in 7 days but would like to harvest 2 or 3 of plains game mentioned above and definitely tour a park with the Big Five.
I am open to others suggestions. Please feel free to provide any other ideas. I would love to hear from some of the outfitters on here about any packages that could be put together. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Hello DDSD.

Welcome to the forum and what a great trip to plan for your anniversary. We at JKO can help you with all the above as my father does tours and non hunting activities for all our clients so that will not be a problem to set up for you guys.

I will be more than happy to help you plan this wonderful trip, I will send you a PM with more information and suggestions.

All my best sir,

Jacques

First suggestion: extend your trip several days at minimum. It takes time to travel between attractions. Don't make it so rushed.

You'll get plenty of suggestions. Have fun planning.

Welcome to the forum!

We can also assist you with planning a tailor-made hunt combined with sightseeing.

As you are celebrating 20 years of married life you should know by now happy wife=happy life... important to schedule your hunt in such a way that your better half enjoys it as much as you do!

You are welcome to pm me for some options.

In the meantime, enjoy the planning.

Thanks for the responses. I will be in touch. Wish we could do longer than 7 days but family and work obligations won’t allow. It just provides another reason to go back again!

We have multiple options for you in enjoying a true African experience coupled with luxury in order to make this anniversary a memorable one. Please email us at office@gtasafari.com for more information.

20 years? I’ve had to wait for my 25th Anniversary, and that’s another 9 long months of waiting.
I have booked with Game 4 Africa and believe that I have a great deal. With tours added by request.

I must admit I had plenty of nice offers and out fitters are certainly working to get our business.

I think the catch is that you get hooked and want to return. Not such a bad idea but I will pay for this trip first.

I read the mistake is “thinking we can go once. “. The other important quote “You can’t take it with you and the kids will only waste it”

Have fun and leave some animals for me.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
