If you could fill a freezer with NA game species (native and exotics, anything from small game to birds to big game), what would be your must-haves in it?

Interested to hear opinions on this. I haven't had the opportunity to try much wild game!

I love them all.

Far and away my favorite from NA is elk though.

Elk or moose, hard to pick between the two.

Antelope, elk.... and squirrel.
So much depends on the chef. One hunting buddy is fantastic in the kitchen. We ate groundhog last spring, it was excellent. (And amusing)

Moose, pig, black bear, pheasant, walleye.

Elk or Axis

Nilgai..........without a doubt. A cow elk and maybe a few sandhill crane, the ribeye of the sky.

Canada goose, dove, quail, rabbit and whitetail. Elk if they were in my hunting environs.

Bison/Elk/Axis

Moose, moose and more moose. Plus whatever else for sausage!

Always elk in my freezer but my favorite is a mid november cornfield whitetail!

venison, upland game birds (pheasant, grouse, quail), duck, rabbit, walleye, bluegill, perch, and salmon. Best tasting venison I've ever had was moose. Best I tasted in Africa was wildebeest (so far;))

First would be September doves and blue grouse (now called “dusky” grouse), mid moth mountain sharp tails, then a Wyoming antelope to start the red meat. Then comes deer and elk season if I’m lucky and draw. Upland bird comes the middle of November with pheasants, blues and bobwhite quail. That’s about it unless the granddaughter drags me to Gizmos again for a muledeer or whitetail:rolleyes:!

I’d fill it with what I grew up on. Whitetail, dove, quail, a few squirrels, bluegill, and crappie. I’ll never turn down good, fresh wild fare though.
