Hello all I have 5 openings for Nilgai hunts starting in June. Nilgai are one of my favorite animals and make a spectacular trophy. Additionally, they are delicious and you get a lot of meat!
Hunt is for 2 days/3 nights included is guides, meals, lodging, bass fishing, trophy fee for 1 trophy Nilgai, unlimited wild boar/predators, skinning and quartering. As always if you use my taxidermy company you’ll get a discount off of the taxidermy.
Total price: $5800
Hunt must be done between June 1rst and October 15th with peak time being June- mid September.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Nilgai they are originally from India and are one of the worlds largest antelope ( smaller than an Eland but still a large animal).
They have a legendary reputation as being tough and they certainly are, though are quite mortal with a well placed bullet of premium quality and appropriate caliber.
Their nick name is “blue bull” due to their coloration when mature. They can vary in color from red to almost a purple appearance.
They are very challenging to hunt and like thick cover. Hunts are done spot and stalk commonly.
During the rut males will literally fight to the death in some instances. They square off and go down to there front knees where they repeatedly slam into each other’s necks and vital areas in a stabbing motion with their horns.
They are not considered dangerous game by any means but can be very violent if cornered or wounded. (Kinda like a sable).
Another unique feature is the “beard” they get under the throat patch similar to a turkey.
 
This would be another one of those hunts for the hunt only for me. These things need to be shoulder mounted! That said, they take up lots of space in order to have the beard and shoulder mounted properly. They deserve a fine shoulder mount! JMO
 
They do make a stunning and unique mount. Tough critters!
 
Hey, Erik.............great offer. They look like a powerful animal. I have never actually seen a live one. Is that bull in the foto a big trophy? Their horns are not easy for a novice to judge.........thanks for posting.....FWB

Hey Bill, yes that’s a hoss in the photo. Big bulls will have 8-10” horns. They are truly breathtaking in person. If you wanted to do this I would have your Aoudad done when you come and you could pick them up then.

your making me drool erik,will check with doc in march and see what he says,had a heart attack and triple bypass in 2015,pace maker in 2016 and am older than dirt, but dont want to stop hunting,guess its your choice.

Absolutely love these hunts. Fun times figuring these big guys out when they brush up.
 
Took mine on the King Ranch many years ago when it JUST opened for commercial hunting. I was actually one of the very first to book a hunt there. This is an awesome animal to hunt. Make your first shot count boys and girls.
