Swaro Z6 1.7x10x42(plex) Or Zeiss 1.5x6 x42 (#60) illuminated. Looking at these two scopes to put on a 375 h&h . DG and Pg on the schedule in the future. Anyone have opinion on illuminated? I know both a great glass. Thanks John

I have the Z6 on one of my 375’s can its awesome! Low magnification for bushband crank it up for longer shots. Clarity is great! Dont have experience with the Victory.

There may come a time when an illuminated comes in handy. Leopard, hyena, etc at night. Heavy tree cover and trying to find your cross hairs against the black of a buff in fading light.

Ton of money can be spent on a hunt. Do you want to give yourself every opportunity.

Agree on the illuminated cross hair. My only regret on my Leopold, is I didn’t get the 30mm firedot vx3i. I got the 1” version because that is what they had in stock.

I have the 1.6-6 #60 Zeiss non-illuminated on my .375 H&H and it's awesome. I found the scope so bright that I truly believe I could hunt by moonlight.

I have the Z6 and a couple of similar Victories. You can not go wrong with either. The red dot is a really helpful thing in thick dark cover. In June I killed a boar bushpig in a deep valley in heavy brush. In spite of it being high noon, the shadows were unbelievable and that red dot (on a Leica - but, same thing) meaningfully cut target acquisition time on a very fleeting opportunity.

Thanks. A lot of great insight. Looks like the red dot is a big plus

I have the Zeiss on my .375 and the illuminated red dot makes a world of difference when shooting. I won't hunt with it until May but at the range I can already see the difference in my accuracy.

Congrats on the bushpig, a true trophy, hardcto come by

I have the Zeiss with the #60 illuminated on my 375 H&H and it is a fantastic scope and i wouldn't hesitate to get another.

Yall are awesome, great info. I found the zeiss for 1599$ , will go ahead and get it.

I just bought a Swaro Z8 1-8x illuminated. Definitely the best glass I have ever seen.

Nice scope , I suspect it is about as good as it gets.

Nice! I stayed away from those booths, lol. It was a great show, as always.

I have no experience with Zeiss scopes. I do have experience with Swarovski and I find then to be absolutely great. The clarity is something you really need to experience to appreciate.

Really big old boar. The red dot really did help make the shot possible.

I actually have a z6 on a different gun with more magnification, Swarovski is really nice. Was just wanting to compare to Zeiss victory, looks like red dot is a good feature to have in either scope. Thanks for all the input

Congratulations on a good scope. I chose a Z6 1-6x24 over a Zeiss 1,5-6x42 purely on dimensions on a DG rifle. Optics was the same, day, twilight and night. The Swarovski has better eye relief. Had my Zeiss been an illuminated model that would have been my choice.
