My wife and I have hunted PG in Namibia a couple of times, and we're now looking to book our first buffalo hunt for 2021. We spoke to a number of outfitters at the 2019 SCI show in Reno, and we haven't yet decided on an outfitter. I was hoping to hear recommendations on outfitters who don't usually attend the U.S. shows. We have a large PG collection and would like to add Nyala, Bushbuck, Reedbuck or a few more of the tiny ten. Ideally, we'd like to book with an outfitter who also has access to tiger fishing as well.

We're open to considering NE SA, Zim, Mozambique, etc. Any recommendations on lesser-known outfitters would be great.

Thank you.

Have fun planning.

Welcome to our place where you will get the good advise you are looking for

Planing is indeed half the fun!

I have seen price in SA for 8,000 on the biggest hard boss bull that you can find on 24,000 acres. I think if you got the money. You should go to a more remote country like Zambia, Zimbabwe, or any other remote country. To experience free roaming buff. I like Martin Pieters Safaris in Zimbabwe on this website sounds like a very cool place.

If u are still at DSC stop by Charleton/Mcallan and Albert Alberts booths.

There are a number of outfitters on AH from Zimbabwe, Mozambique, etc that you should check out. Also you might want to read some of the reports from other hunters on them as well as checking for any pricing deals you might like under the DEALS & OFFERS heading.
Best of luck in your decision! I really enjoy the planning stage. It seems to lengthen my excitement for a hunt!

We can also assist. You are welcome to get in touch if you like.

I can help you in North east Limpopo RSA for a more affordable hunt, or we can hunt in Tanzania for a truly wilderness experience, take 2 buffalo if you wish on a 10 day hunt.

My $0.02...you must first figure out what sort of hunt will make you happy.

This will greatly influence both the cost, and location/outfitter options.

Trying to compare a wilderness hunt to a farm hunt will leave your head spinning, IMHO.

Figure out which one to target, then zero in on locations and outfits.

Matetsi unit 5 on the Hwange national park border, north west Zimbabwe and adjacent to Victoria falls has excellent buffalo. Herds of over 800 are common and the area is wild and unfenced.
Drop me a mail, martinpieterssafaris@gmail.com and ill send through some options.

Excellent advice from @tarbe above. The better you can nail down and define the specifics of the hunt you want the easier it will probably be to identify the right outfitter and area for you.
A few more thoughts. You mentioned bushbuck, nyala and reedbuck. There are multiple sub species of bushbuck, do you have one that is higher on the list than another? For example, if Chobe bushbuck is a higher priority than Limpopo bushbuck, you might want to focus on Zim.
If free range Nyala who are endemic to the area has a high degree of appeal you may want to look hard at Moz.
You can find great Cape Buffalo in Zim, Moz and Tanzania so the additional animals might be a deciding factor?
I hunted elephant and plains game last year in Zimbabwe with Mokore Safaris and took a Rowland Ward Chobe bushbuck and a number of other great PG animlas. I’m booked for next year with Mokore in Coutada 9 in Mozambique for Cape Buffalo and PG. C9 has excellent Nyala, East Africa Bushbuck and Reedbuck and is about 1 million acres of free range, wild africa. I would recommend Doug Duckworth and Mokore Safaris without reservation. You might give them a shout.

Bossie Mosert with Limpopo Big Game Safaris would be an excellent choice. He can handle the buff and the fishing with excellent accommodations and a price that would be very difficult for anyone to compete with.

Hey David, are you thinking with a bow or rifle? For bow, I can highly recommend someone for you!
